The Jamul Post Office employees are always cheerful and helpful. The drivers on the other hand are lazy, not my words but one of the drivers words. Our dirt road has at times, primarily after heavy rains, has gotten ruts in it. The post office has told the drivers they don't need to deliver packages there if they don't want to so they never do, ruts or no ruts. It's easier for them to have us pick the packages up at the post office than to deliver them. Then we get a message "failed delivery attempt" when there was no attempt.

USPS delivery person never even tried delivering my certified mail. Tracking said a notice was left but there was no knock and no slip. I guess they don’t deliver the mail now, what a waste of a day off.

Driver no longer delivers packages. Thw driver used to always provide exceptional service. FexEx and UPS have no problem and drive much larger vehicles. Plenty of room to backup and/or turn around in my driveway. Zero excuse for this laziness. Ive gone to speak to supervisor on 2 occasions. Supervisor is never available and does not respond. I dont know what has happened to this post office but its failing big time. I will no longer use usps if at all possible. FedEx, UPS, Amazon, all deliver no problem and actually bring packages to the doorstep. No wonder why Postal Service is a failing...

We booked appointment to get daughters passport renewed and it was very quick and efficient. They worked like a racing team. One did photos while other did paperwork, in snd out. Amazing post office. They ate super friendly as well.

Mail carrier for some strange reason will not place small package in the mailbox instead leaves a note stating "No secure location to deliver". Its the same every month with the same package and with the same mail carrier who could easily deliver the small package in the mailbox or simply leave it at the doorstep of my home just 25 yards from the mailbox like Fed Ex and UPS does. Every month for the last 6 months I have to drive to the Jamul post office and stand in long lines to pick up a package that could be easily placed in my mailbox. Every so often, my mail is put in someone else's mailbox or vice versa which should never happen but the package problem is over the top and frustrating. When the manager is confronted about this problem she just shrugs her shoulders and so the next step for me is to seriously confront the mail carrier and get some staight answers on why he feels he can't simply do his job and deliver a simple small package designed to fit inside a mailbox. Either that or start flooding complaints against the Jamul post office.

Posting my satisfaction rating of 5 stars for the Jamul California Post Office Satellite! These are all very friendly, accommodating, Professional Postal Personnel and I've never experienced any issue which we couldn't work out both quickly & amicably, not to mention affordably! My mail is delivered on station into a regular size PO Box and even when I'm away for months at a time, they keep my mail in a bin for me ready to pick up at my convenience... I've had PO troubles before where after awhile, they began returning my mail to the sender I'm quite happy with the service here, it always arrives with a SMILE!

I leave half the times I go there, they tie up both counters with pass ports all the time. Just getting something mailed comes to a complete stop. Today I was attempting to pick up a package, both counters tied up again; so I left again. Until they start paying me for my time as they take a half an hour at least; I'm out the door. Add least leave one counter open for postal buisnes. Worst Post office ever.

I called the post office, albeit at 4:30pm on a Friday, to report that the key they left in my mailbox for the package compartment wouldn’t work. A man answered but basically became the middle person between me and the mail lady. Her response, “Call a locksmith and handle it yourself.” I said, “Why would I pay for a locksmith when it’s the key you left me?” The man then explained to the woman that it was the package door key. Her response was, “We’ll fix it tomorrow.” No discussion of when or how. I DO NOT want my packages exposed to be stolen. Regardless, the phone conversation I had was completely unprofessional and I was promptly rushed off the phone before I could get a word in edgewise. Rude, rude, rude!

Leads of the office and more of the drivers. They have often left packages at the top of our driveway and today took the cake. I was expecting a package for my grandmother's birthday and it was supposed to arrive before 8pm this evening. The dog starts barking and I head out as soon as I could expecting the package because we saw the little mail car and I could not find the package anywhere on the property and I check amazon and it said a delivery was attempted. It also said that a note was left. No note. No reason why the package couldn't have been delivered. There were 4 people home who could have signed. 4 cars in the driveway. 3 lights on in that side of the house. Garage was lit and opened. 3 cars in the driveway. Can't understand any reason it wouldnt/shouldnt have been delivered. I borderline cringe whenever I see USPS as my shipping. And the kicker is they're paid with tax dollars. Literally part of the money that's taken out of my paycheck every two weeks goes to this. I want an explanation. I want to Know where the note was and I want to know why they couldn't just set the package off to the side in the drive way like UPS FedEx and on time does.
