Joel and Bob at J Dery Jewelers exceeded my high expectations. They are that rare business that provides both high quality service and products along with amazing customer support. I brought my 93 yr old Mom's ring in for an appraisal. Joel took one quick look at it and said don't let anyone wear this ring until it's fixed. The diamond was barely being held in place by the setting. He repaired and reset the stone, sized it, appraised it, and saved this family heirloom for generations to come. I am so appreciative for their work. They are trustworthy, professional, prompt, generous, and true experts at what they do. You won't find better jewelers anywhere. As a customer, you leave the experience feeling very well taken care of.

Joel has been my go to Jeweler for for well over 20 years. His personal attention to each of his customers, and highly creative designs and amazing craftsmanship is above and beyond amazing. There are so many wonderful things I can say about Joel and J Dery, but I will make it short and sweet. Joel helped me and my fiance (okay, mostly me) design my perfect black diamond engagement ring and wedding band. He was so patient with me and just an absolute joy and pleasure to work with. This is by far an amazing jeweler in La Mesa. I’ve always received exceptional service even when just looking around. They offer all of the great services of cleaning and fixing but more important they have beautiful jewelry and are amazing artists for something new. It’s very clear that this is an establishment that loves what they do and they do it well. This is my #1 go to place and I’m a little picky 😎

We found this "gem" right in our neighborhood! We visited specifically to inquire about having a ring custom designed. Bob was meticulous and knowledgeable in helping me actually come up with a design based on my ideas. Joel gave us honest opinions about what would/wouldn't work for my specific piece. I learned a lot about jewelry in general by the time we were done! Joel surely delivered on his promise to make my ring beautiful...I couldn't be more pleased! Joel and the whole team are extremely helpful and professional. They have a great selection of jewelry that turns over pretty fast, so every couple months you see a lot of new things. They have helped me on everything from tiny odds and ends to designing and building expensive pieces. Always my first stop for any jewelry need.
