Stopped in while on vacation to get help with a coolant leak after a really bad experience at another shop in town. Can't say enough good things about Chuck and his techs. They helped me out late in the day while they were really busy. Honest, straightforward and professional.

We took a ski vacation at Mammoth last week. Unfortunately we got a brake problem when we just about to leave for home. It was already Friday afternoon when we towed the car to Noro Service Center. The owner Chuck and his mechanic were extremely helpful. They managed to fix the problem so we could drive all the way back home to Southern California instead of waiting for the part till the next week. We are very grateful to Norco Service Center-Goodyear and highly recommend their service in Mammoth Lakes.

The owner and technicians at this shop are great. I stopped by when my truck started running very rough an hour before they closed for the weekend on a Friday. Most shops would’ve told me to come back on Monday. I was camping with my trailer parked at the rv park. There was no way I would’ve been able to tow it home on Sunday. They ran diagnostics and found a misfiring cylinder, then ran more tests till closing time. Luckily it was only a bad spark plug wire. They fixed it and saved the weekend! It’s refreshing to find a shop that actually cares about getting people out of a jam in an emergency.

I keep forgetting to leave a review. This was a few months ago. We were stuck up in the mountains with an intermittently dying engine. All the shops in town had backlogs that extended past when we needed to be in another state. Talked to a mechanic at this shop who ended up loaning us a few things including his fuel pressure gauge. We were able to confirm the fuel pump was our issue. A trip to Napa down the street and an afternoon dropping the tank on the side of a dirt road and it's been running great since! He didn't even charge me for anything. I did of course leave him a nice gift. Not a tip. Those are taxable income ;) I noticed a few complaints about them being busy and turning people away. That's every shop in Mammoth during the summer. Also everyone in Mammoth charges a lot but that's the cost of doing business and living there. Go to the grocery and be ready for sticker shock!

Went here to get some work done on some brake issues I was having with my Jeep. Chuck and Bela were so helpful and trustworthy. I know that the information they gave me was completely sincere and I trust their opinion. I never felt like Chuck was trying to rip me off or get more money out of me. I felt the opposite in fact. They could tell I didn't have a lot to spend on this unexpected expense and tried to help me out where they could. They did great work fixing and ensuring my brakes were safe before getting me back on the road. Thank you guys!

I am a Mammoth Lakes local and have worked as a tow operator, repairing and working on tires. I went here for a tire patch and rotation. However, the tech doing the job found sidewall damage I had not seen that rendered the tire useless. He "rotated" the remaining 3 tires by putting the RR on the FR, the FR on the FL, and the FL on the FR. When I inquired about this rotation technique, Chuck backed me up and didn't charge me for the rotation. Now in need of a new tire, Chuck offered to put the tire on order for next day delivery. He even had the capability to shave down the tread to match my other tires (the price of owning an AWD vehicle) for a reasonable price. He quoted me $160 for the tire and installation and $25 for shaving down the tire. I had originally bought, balanced, and installed the tires myself when I worked in a shop, and knew the tires retail at $120. $160, therefore, seemed like a reasonable markup. Not wanting to wait for a better deal or do the work myself, I was sold. He even sold me on an alignment and said they should be able to fit it in. I waited for a call the next day but one never came. I swung by the shop because the line was busy, and was told the shipment hadn't arrived. At 3:30, I called again (where's the communication?) and Chuck said the tire came in and they should have it installed within the hour. At 4:30, I swung by the shop and Chuck was gone for the day. The guy behind the counter rung me up and was trying to charge me $200 for the tire. I told him I was quoted $160 so he tried, unsuccessfully to get a hold of Chuck. I waited for 30 minutes as the shop closed for the day, with my tire inside. At 5:00, the guy called again and finally reached Chuck for me. Chuck was apologetic and said it was a mis-quote and that he forgot to call me and inform me about the price change but that he would give me a discount on an alignment. I told him I didn't want the alignment anymore, but just the tire at the agreed upon rate. He conceded, but it was too late to fully rectify the situation. The shop had closed so I ended up throwing the tire in my car and changing it myself at home. Some other issues: 1) I was charged an additional $25 for balancing the wheel (Chuck hadn't bothered to mention this labor fee originally so I assumed the quoted price included the balancing.) I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on this one and say I was naive in thinking this. 2) When I took the car in, I had all my tires aired to 30psi. The owner's manual and door label recommend 32psi but I had aired them down for winter travel. When I checked the air pressure on my tires afterwards, they were all at 36psi. 3) The aftermarket valve stem cover was missing on the wheel they did the work on. Chuck seems to be a well-intentioned guy, and I don't believe he's trying to rip anyone off, but a more proactive management style would go a long way towards making this a better place. Bottom line: Be vigilant and do your own homework when dealing with this shop.

I was up in Mammoth for the weekend and my wife's battery failed on us Saturday afternoon. This was one of the only places open to "help" us. They charged me $177 for a battery for '13 Toyota Corolla then charged me an outrageous $63 to install it (it took a whole 5 minutes to do). This place is an absolute ripoff and can't believe they had the audacity to charge those prices. Since I was in a tough spot I had to pay it. If you ever need any work done, I highly recommend going anywhere else.

I stopped into this shop to ask about my snow cables and air pressure and Chuck was very accommodating and kind to answer my questions honestly. Chuck even came out to check my tires to let me know they were for snow and mud so I didn't need my snow cables on since there wasn't much snow on the road and that leaving them on when the road is clear will chew up the snow cables. ( Thanks Chuck for teaching me something new and not treating me like an idiot!) Being a female and having delt with many car shops and dealerships before, I will say that Chuck was very honest and trustworthy. He didn't try to take me for a financial ride. 👍👍

My alternator went out while in Mammoth. Chuck and his crew were helpful, professional, and friendly. It was 4 pm and by the next morning, an alternator arrived from Fresno and within a little over two hours, I was on the road to San Diego with no problems. I am feeling appreciative and grateful.

These guys were the most helpful mechanics I've ever met. They went well out of their way to diagnose the tricky problems with my vehicle (the previous mechanics had put the wrong ECU in rather than fix the real problem- a wiring issue). They provided great customer service and got me back on the road, which neither of the two other shops I had taken it to for the same problem were able to do. They charged me less to fix the problem than the Chevy dealership did to fix nothing! I can't recommend them enough!
