Our family has been in business for over 20 years in Modesto, CA. We originally started with just furniture and select accessories, but have diversified our product line now carrying much more furniture as well as unique pieces and accessories. Our store had been named At Home for 19 years, but due to a large chain named At Home coming into California, we changed our name to Home Again. It’s the same store and owners! Our “family” buyers continue to search for the best buys and values in the furniture market. We shop at four international shows each year, making certain to always find products you will not see anywhere else. You are not a clone, so why shop at one! It was my first time going in and it will be my last. I keep thinking back when that older women that was working there asked my 6 year old son if he was purchasing the book that he was holding. He was a ways behind me and I had to look back to finally realize she was talking about the book my son was holding. She had asked again and I told her yes we’re purchasing that book.I normally wouldn’t think nothing of it but she had a tone in her voice (He was very excited about the new book.but I know her asking made my son uncomfortable he just kept looking at me on what to say. ) . Than it hits me.. was this older women profiling my family ? I was near the front the door so maybe she thought we were going to steal it ?? Please enlighten me on why we wouldn’t be making a purchase on something that we had in our hands.

Before i start my review i just want to say that i absolutely love this store! Whenever i make a big purchase i like to start local :) Everyone is always so nice and helpful and i have purchased many things from candles, kitchen towels 3 for $12 (such a bargain) and even small jewelry. So no doubt that once we needed a new couch i would come here, and we did. We purchased a large sectional for $2500.00 it was such a gorgeous couch, but that was short lived within one week the cushions started to disfigure and the couch started to dip in (nightmare)! the material then started to pile and i just knew this was the beginning of the end. Shortly thereafter, the pillows started to have sooooo many feathers come out (understatement) and poke us whenever we sat down (not to mention i had to whip out my dyson because there were feathers all over the floors) this was a total nightmare, literally our friends would come visit, sit down and say OUCH! and here i was apologising for my pokey pillows and cushions:( sad to say we have had the couch only 2 years and unfortunately need a new one... i won't make the same mistake twice i have saved up for a flexsteel (been around over 100 years), again i do love this store but i will not be buying furniture here ever again.

We love this store, it smells amazing! It has so many unique things. I like that you can look around without anyone bothering but the staff are super friendly once you ask questions. We always come back for the new seasonal items! Go check it out, we gurantee you’ll fine something you’ll like!!

Made me feel very uncomfortable when I went in. Not even a welcome or hi from staff they just looked at me. As I was walking around videoing I saw nice stuff way overpriced. The manager finally asked can I help you not in a pleasant tone. She was arrogant and acted superior . I asked if they were a part of the At home chain she said no. Thank God cause I love my decor. I won't be back! Went Obriens market next door same type of atmosphere. Found out there owned by brothers no wonder felt like the same atmosphere. It was May 24, 2021 around 11:30 am or noon after my Dr appt.. Thank you for responding. I was so excited to finally go in the store. 😃

Everytime I walk in that store I see many items I like and would buy! They don't acknowledge me when I walk in or while I'm browsing, they could careless and therefore they get a big fat FAIL because they have no customer service... they're to busy BSing with one another and if they're conducting business well damn it stop and say hello or welcome in to every customer that walks in that door instead of who you choose to say hello to!!

First time visiting the Modesto store. I was never acknowledged by one associate in the store. Heard others being asked if they needed help, even one associate stood right next to me and never said one word. Happy they didn't have anything I was interested in. Would not have purchased anyway. Such a gem of a store. There is always so many fun things to see at the store that make decorating any room so much fun. Cathy is the friendliest and most knowledgeable person. She makes every At Home experience so fantastic.

At Home is my go-to destination for gifts. I always find something unique and affordable. The helpful staff also provides great gift wrapping gratis. When I am not buying for someone else, I am looking at my favorite Gygli and Sid Dickens displays or the great furniture vignettes. At Home is a great for the eyes.

I was there about a month a go & found the customer service was very good! I was asked if I needed assistance several times! I found a sofa that I want to purchase once my home is built! Beautiful furniture & home decor! Beautiful candles!
