This is the worst ,most racist ARCO I have ever been to on my life. I stop to fill up my tank here (840 San Amtonio Rd. Palo Alto on Sunday, July 17th at 3ish) and while my gas is pumping, I go inside to buy a couple of lottery tickets. I wait my turn and request 2 Megas. The older white men , who looked 80 told me to wait and allow the white women behind me to go first. I ask why? He says because she is getting gas and that comes first before lottery tickets. I said zi got a fill up of over $50 on gas on my card and I waited in line and now being denied service. He argued with me that lottery tickets were not priority. I repeated I spent $50 on gas. He still argued with me making up excuses. There is no excuse for rude customer service or racism period. I walked out the store with no apology from him or anything. I have never had issues with ARCO any where else and I assume this is privately owned. I advise anyone of color not to get gas at this location. There are others down the road.

Man I have like no gas decided to choose this gas station barely made it just find out that it’s closed so is that 86 across the street. They should put on their add as in open “ 24/7 at gas pumps “ONLY” with a card” wow👏

Come on dude this is Menlo Park... I got 60.00 gas but you won't break a hundred bill? Sorry that i don't use Banks or other financial institutions... I believe in good ol cash money

I have a 1995 car with OBD-II. This is on a short list of cars that are pre-1996 with OBD-II engine management. If you know cars, you know this can mean that a smog shop won't know what to do and how to test the car. It took me five years of ownership to find a consistent place that isn't overpowered by this situation. The team at SMOGPROS-ARCO handled the STAR-Inspection flawlessly. They are courteous and up-front. I have now done 3 inspections here because they will tell you when they are busy and provide realistic estimates of wait time. The location is also excellent for doing other stuff while you wait; it is situated near stores and restaurants. This team is also careful and efficient when manipulating the car doors/hood/hatch etc. around test equipment. My highly custom interior is exactly as it was after the test as it was before.

Used this gas station for years! It is right on one of my typical routes. They also have free air, probably the only place around San Antonio that has it. Used there smog check service - always was done while I was waiting, fast and convenient!

This station accepts cash and debit cards only. But I can't see the signs that customers can easily understand. That's why many people spend a lot of time in vain with their credit cards. But the staff is not friendly. It's a very bad experience.

I used to come here for smog checks because of the price and convenience. Also I can walk over to Taco Bell while I wait. However it’s annoying to have to pay in cash. I know they take debit cards, but I’m not a fan of paying fees.
