Dyan
No hot soup kiosk as this Safeway. Tiny store, doesn't offer as much as the larger stores. Only good for a quick run for basics.

I go here early mornings, always get what I need with no hassles. I find the staff here very friendly. My cashier is often Elizabeth, who does a great job.

The most miserable experience with this store I ordered some items online and they sent me all the wrong stuff. I returned the entire order. That was June 17th. I never got my refund. It took four phone calls to customer service. I was told by the central billing department that the store never requested my refund and that was the bottle neck.

Shelves are well stocked now. They appear to be staffed adequately. The store is clean and lines are at usual levels not quite pre-COVID.

Smaller than other Safeways I frequently go to, probably half the size. They have the essentials but no bakery area or fresh breads. Parking lot is smaller as well but sufficient for how busy they were when we visited

The worst service ever. How can you mess up a easy deli order? They just don't care to get the order right. I said 1/2 pound of thinly sliced roast beef What I got was just over a quarter pound of meat. I have had to wait as long as 25 minutes with no line to get my lunch meat. 😩 I can not believe how incompetent these people are.

This is an older, cramped Safeway. I’d give it a 3/5 but it’s conveniently open 24 hrs and has nice staff to bump it up to a 4. No in-store bakery though the fresh bread selection is good (Acme, Semifreddis) and they have a well stocked wine aisle. Meat section is small, but the butcher can usually hook you up with something special from the back.

My least favorite Safeway in the area. The meat section is so small it’s a joke. No bakery either. I only come to this location as a last resort just due to how limited of a selection of items. The staff are pleasant, though. I’ve never had a bad experience with any of them. The major benefit is the location being on middlefield pretty close to Oregon expressway. You can get there pretty quickly right off the expressway.

Medium sized Safeway store with sufficient parking in MidTown Palo Alto. Good for routine grocery items. It includes a pharmacy which is providing free Covid vaccines. Their restrooms inside the store are open for all.

It's an older Safeway. It probably hasn't had a major remodel for a while. This Safeway has been there at least since the mid-70s if not earlier. It's small it's a little funky. The staff is friendly but like a lot of stores these days they are understaffed and don't have self-checkout yet. I got there early and found what I needed and got out fairly quickly. I'm not crazy about the star rating system. I would say categorized but then it would take too much time so I guess one to five stars is good enough I suppose. All in all I had a decent shopping experience.
