We started our restaurant journey as a local sushi bar back in 2008 located in Redondo Beach California as Yanagi Japanese Bistro. We opened Yanagi Kitchen to specialize on take out, catering, and delivering traditional and authentic sushi as you would expect in our sushi bar. Our sushi rice is Gluten/MSG free and we have many gluten free options available. Most importantly, we take great strides to create dishes which we would proudly enjoy with our own family.

Long time customer very dissatisfied. Ordered 45 minutes before closing and received chicken so dry and old was not edible. Tried call and complain but no answer. They never should have plated a protein so dry that was not edible, worst part is is was obvious and they still packaged it for delivery. This was terrible and expensive to boot !!!

LOVE this sushi place. Their sushi always tastes fresh, rolls are always just as beautiful as the photos, and orders can be ready within 20 mins for pick up. Can’t go wrong!

In Short, This is our new go to neighborhood sushi spot. Decent food. Average prices. Good flavors. Great service. Love the order online with chownow. Makes things easy and quick. More elaborate, We stopped going to our old go to sushi place and found Yanagi 2x better. Prices are average to higher for a takeout place and that’s probably the inflation times we’re living in affecting it as well but still not too crazy for sushi. The food is good. Spicy tuna with Crispy rice, Miso Soup, and Blue crab hand roll were great. I really like the fact that they have a Rainbow Roll with spicy tuna inside rather than the ca roll faux crab. I think it was so much better. The presentation in the bags and having them ready to go is really good. No messy plastic bags with boxes flopping around. The people I interacted with at the front counter were professional and courteous. Def recommend it for quick neighborhood sushi.

Yummy, but not worth $10 roll average. Farm raised fish with no nutrients. Go to market and buy a whole slab of meat for $14, rice oil and seaweed $22 total. You can feed 10 people easy.

I just had the best customer service experience of my life. The restaurant called me after my husband picked up our take out order and let me know they accidentally forgot to put one of our items in our order. They got my address and had it delivered to me . I haven’t had this kind of awesome pride in your business and service ever. I have been a customer for years and will continue. Not to mention the food is amazing! Thank you Yanagi.

Best Sushi in the South Bay bar none. Please support them during Covid so they can stay open. They are always consistently fresh, and high quality. It is sometimes hard to decide what to order because the sushi is so good. Yellowtail has always been my favorite sushi, but their Albacore is so stunningly good, I almost change my mind.

Nice small place, maybe only a little dark for my personal taste (but to someone it may feel more intimate?!). Just stopped for a quick lunch right before closing hours, the staff was nice enough to let us eat nonetheless. Excellent variety in the menu, and prices seemed overall on the cheap side. Good quality vs price

Came here for dinner with my girl. I really liked the ambiance. Great food too and the service was great all around. Real accommodating little sushi spot with lots of extras. Really liked the blue fin tuna which a lot of places don't have but they have it here. Make reservations for busy dinner hours.
