Pretty surprised that an official Uhaul location cannot source another truck from another local Uhaul location 15 minutes away or redirect a customer. I needed to extend one day, but couldn't online. Called in and was told a family is using it the next day. I mentioned it was IMPOSSIBLE for us to return it the next day and to see if there was another option for this Uhaul location to source another truck for themselves for this other customer or redirect them. Why Uhaul cannot do this, I just don't know...either way the rep was helping me look for a truck to move our stuff into as opposed to just swapping locations, which didn't help us. So I asked the guy, what would happen if I don't return the truck on time? Do I get charged a day extra? The guy didn't know the answer but guilt tripped me by letting me know that a family won't be getting their truck tomorrow. So I asked what the standard operating procedure is for a late return? Not a direct answer either but something along the lines of being charged an extra day. So I tell the guy...look I can't return the truck...and you're getting the money for the rental regardless. Why don't you redirect this family to the location you were trying to tell me to go so they don't arrive to your location where theres no truck? Dude literally said, "that's not my job". You're right...It's not your job but you're guilt tripping me about this family needing a truck, and I'm telling you it's impossible and you have an opportunity to at least notify them to cancel and place an order elsewhere, but instead, you'd rather deal with the headache tomorrow, or worse, let your colleague deal with it. This is customer service....

Despite the negative reviews, I have had a great experience with this location. Gary was very helpful. I will pick up a 20’ truck tomorrow and update this review. This location is short on 26’ trucks.

The garbage company asks for money in disguise when returning the car. When picking up the car, the gas tank is empty. When returning the car, we have to fill up the gas tank and ask us to refuel at $130.

I am speechless. You need to check your equipment from top to toe. I rented the truck with the so call $10 " insurance". Checked out the truck and didn't bother to look the spot of tape residue and corner or their decal letter was off because I was checking for dent ding and damage. Returned the truck and they informed me I damaged their truck. Even if it was mine but I showed them I can just use the finger to clean it off. Staff told me they still need the new decal that was off on the corner. They wrote me off of $150 of damage as scratches and paint transfer to their truck. So next time if you check out a equipment from U-Haul, be sure have them sticker everything, I mean everything because they will make up a ridiculous issue to charge you.

I asked to change my reservation last second during a rush period. The computers had mild lag and there was some lady who left the line to find her documents that was constantly interjecting. Daniel of U-haul Rosemead handled the situation like an absolute pro.

I went to turn in the truck and the employees did not check in the truck and i got charged an extra day and fees. when I called the "manager" Mike, he rude, self-centered and said that he did not have any boss over him. He has poor customer service and his staff needs to be trained. Mike didn't want to give me his area manager's number to complain about him and his staff. Don't rent from this place.

Fraudster: Say that I broke the car: Ask him to provide evidence and then push it to the insurance company: I can’t get the proof: Just say you can’t pay but they want the money to be urged by the credit company

Good luck trying to get someone on the phone here; it's like this place saves you money only because they don't actually hire enough people to work with the amount of customers the have everyday. The equipment is well maintained and the staff is help, but just way overworked.

Service was outstanding. I returned a truck over night and also booked one for the next day. The staff was courteous and efficient in getting everyone taken care of. The only downside is the lot is pretty small, other than that they get an A+.
