I applause the efficiency of the team in this pharmacy. The particular eye drop that I use daily needs to be ordered each time; I dealt twice already with Stephanie who sorted out some complicated situation with the insurance and dr office for me in an exemplary manner. Thank you.

The pharmacist on duty on March 3rd 2022, apparently does not know what she is doing. I was able to pick up the prescription for my partner and I asked a simple question: he can take the medicine before or after the meal. She refused to tell me the information, using patient privacy act as she so called validate reason. Instead, she can only disclose the information to patient him or herself. After I consult a numerous Pharmacist managers cross San Diego county, RITE Aid and CVS, the feedback is what Pride Pharmacy's pharmacist's response to me was strange and unreasonable. I fully support patient privacy act, but as a pharmacy manager ( she told me via 2nd call, she is a manager ) you have to evaluate what type of questions were asked. The question I asked was a simple counseling question. They way she handled this situation indicates an inefficient operating process. We want to support local small business, but the way she handled this tiny small piece of information request was inadequate. I'm not surprised this pharmacy only has 3.5 star review. If the owner of Pride Pharmacy care about customer feedback. Please make sure your internal management level is trained on how to conduct business in a more efficient way.

So let me preface this review by stating that the experience from my previous pharmacy after being swallowed up by another chain was less than stellar which is an understatement. However, I'm basing my experience on my initial encounter with my new pharmacy. First, the establishment is clean, minimal decor, bright, pandemic ready, and conveniently located. The staff is friendly, seems serviceable, and knowledgeable. Now, I have an extensive list of medications that I take 4x a day, and thanks to the previous pharmacy I was left in the lurch (see previous review if interested). I had 2 days left of medication and I use the pill pak service so it's a pretty tall order in a short period of time. However, they were able to pull it out in a little more than one day. Special shoutout to Lupe for putting up with me and getting it done. I really appreciate the effort as I was stressed out about what had transpired at the previous pharmacy days before. I look forward to what I hope is a relatively trouble-free relationship. One more thing which I won't deduct any stars given the excellent level of service provided. That candy section looks like it was ravaged by hoarders right after the pandemic hit. At least they left behind a box of peanut M&Ms...hehehe :0)

I was hunting for a prescription to relieve my headache, and I'm glad I came across this pharmacy. The pharmacist was very friendly, even giving me advice about how to reduce my headaches! I'm very pleased with the service they offered!

I like to boost small local businesses but have had nothing but problems at this pharmacy. There's something wrong with my order almost every month. They cannot seem to communicate with my doctor, partly because they still insist on using outdated paper faxes. Automatic refills almost never happen without me going in, sometimes more than once, to request in person. Yesterday they called to tell me my order was ready and when I got there not only was it not ready, they still claimed to have no response from my doctor and had done nothing about it, as usual. Go elsewhere.

This pharmacy is the absolute best in Hillcrest and even San Diego for that matter! They are so nice and go above and beyond when dealing with you and your medications.
