I used to love this market as its so close and convenient to my house, but unfortunately I don't get home from work until 7 so I can no longer go due to them reducing their hours a few months ago

Very good place to find Japanese items that you will probably not find in any other store.I recommend Japanese pudding and the onigiri. The only bad thing is parking is usually hard to find. The workers are very friendly. Recommend this place if you enjoy sushi,Japanese food,or are looking for a certain Japanese ingredients

Visited this Japanese grocery chain store in Bay Area. It is a small cozy grocery store located in Japan town in downtown San Jose. Bento box normally prepared fresh daily, however, some of the produces are not as gray as expected. Did a quick shopping today. Easy at check out, items are a little pricy.

A great Japanese market in the heart of Japan town. It's on the small side but they have everything! The best thing is there selection of raw fish, ready-made sushi and bento boxes, made fresh daily. They also have a nice variety of bakery goods and my favorite rice crackers and snacks. They have a tiny section of dishware, but there's always a great selection of bowls, sauce dishes and kitchenware!

Another Nijiya market have place in san jose that i will stop by if we go to san jose, sashimi go fast we love salmon sashimi and this was second time that I couldn’t buy cause it was out, we went there around 7:30, fresh sashimi gone , vegetable was fresh, and also fruit , small supermarket but clean, neatly, nice, service was fast

This market has been here forever. It's small and have limited amount of things to buy. It also carries a lot of rare Japanese food. The staff here are very nice. Some of the food here is pricey so be careful when buying fruits and vegetables.
