I attempted to return 4 unopened cans of baby formula today purchased at this store because my daughter was fortunate enough to outgrow sensitive formula and could use standard formula. The cans were 62 days past purchase, but with receipt and would not expire for 6-12+ months, and given the national shortage I figured any reasonable store manager would accept this return given that managers may accept returns past 30 days at their discretion. The manager brusquely told me that the store policy was on the receipt and that they weren't taking the returns. I know what the policy is, and I also know that this store is chronically out of stock of formula, so seems like a loss for them and the community to not accept this return. Luckily, the Samaritan house charity across the street was happy to take it so some infants will benefit. 3 stars actually brings up this location's avg. rating so this review is mostly to make a point.

This all started happening when the Belmont Ralston location closed down. You would think that with everything moving to this location, it would be supported by extra staff and longer hours. The OPPOSITE has happened. There is LESS staff, and now they are only open 9 to 6, which for someone with a working schedule in downtown San Francisco is unacceptable. I am moving away from the area soon, so all of this is pretty moot for me. However, be warned if considering moving your prescriptions here, they are getting worse and worse at filling them.

Called back and while driving & running errands was on hold for about an hour and finally hung up. Today at 9AM, got through to a real person and while I was speaking to hear about my frustration, she never acknowledged me…just put me on hold to “check w the pharmacist” and now the waiting saga continues. Well, at least they are consistent about their COMPLACENCY & INCOMPETENCE.
