I had an appointment at a set time. I showed up early and waited in line. Didn't think I was supposed to walk in front of everyone. I got to the front a couple minutes after my appointment time. At that time, they asked me to wait on the side so they could help other people in line. It was already about 10 minutes into my appointment window by the time I was helped and they took my picture. I then had to fill out a form, so they helped someone else while I filled it out. This only took me about 5 minutes. When I finished the form, my appointment window was over and the employee told me I had to wait while they finished the appointment for the person after me. I was fine with this, I wasn't in a hurry. The employee helping me then clocked out and his replacement told me I was late and refused to help me! Their supervisor told me I would have to be rescheduled to a different day. Overall, I was there for over an hour and only ~5 minutes of that time was I being helped. The other hour of my time was spent waiting. What this boils down to is that if they had honored their sacred appointment windows in the first place and helped me when it was time, I wouldn't have had to deal with all of this. If you show up early/on time, DO NOT let them tell you to wait. They will not honor appointments after the "appointment window" even if it is arguably their fault for delaying you. Update: I went in for my rescheduled appointment and it took maybe 7 minutes to process my documents. Although this time it went smoothly, I still think it should have been dealt with on the original day -- especially if we're talking about just 7 minutes.

This post office is terrible when it comes to their logistics and customer service. 100+ people were waiting today to get their passports taken care of and was guaranteed a spot since people that came later got turned down. Then when 2:40pm hits they just tell the immediate front they’re closing and leave 100+ people in the dark. So we all waited since all of us came before 6 or 7. Then at the end marcielo lies to everyone saying he told everyone they were closed and proceeded to lock the door with a proper explanation. So in short we waited 6-7+ hours in the heat to get turned down last minute because they said they didn’t think that many people wouldn’t have some of their documents. Cmon even the DMV knows that and prepares for that. Just terrible logistical nightmare and terrible customer service. Wouldn’t recommend it ever!

I used this post office 3 times because it is close to the company. What I feel every time is that they are quite unkind. While backing up at the parking lot, suddenly someone ran into with a rental truck, without paying attention, did not stop, and parked first. Then the driver, she told to the customer like teacher said to student , saying that the staff was the priority. On the second time, my parcel was lost and sent few weeks later, so the delivery time was delayed by a month. This is a place where all the staff are very unfriendly and don't want to use it at all. Terrible exprience.

I didn't get a greeting when I was waiting in line. This was the first time trying to put together a small Flat rate box. I asked the clerk (Hayes) if she could assist me and she said she didn't know how to do it in a very rude way. I was the only one in line so I figured I'd ask..if there's a policy stating clerks can't help out then I understand, so address it in a friendly manner please. Cecilia eventually rang me up and she was Great!

My 5 stars go out to the clerk named FRANK! He was very welcoming, he answered all my questions regarding passports. He's knowledgeable and rid me of any insecurities I had about the whole procedure. He provided excellent customer service & topped it with a smile. Unfortunately, I can't say the about his colleague Jada, but that's entirely a different review. Thank you Frank for your service, I appreciate you, your professionalism and for simply being Awesome!

Came in to get my Passport at 1:20 pm and I was immediately helped. The clerk was friendly, helpful the passport line was actually open not like other Post offices. My husband came a week before and expressed the same satisfaction with the service there. Very happy with the service at Santa Fe Springs Post Office.

Wow! Darryl and his co workers could not have been more outstanding when I went to process my passport this morning. I arrived early and they took care of my application anyway. He explained how I could follow up my application, when to expect my passport and answered all my questions. Took away all the anxiety as I was late in putting my application in. Even got me to laugh at myself. This is customer service! Just excellent. What a night and day experience than my visit to another office, Downey post office. Stay away from that one. Travel a little bit and come to the Santa Fe Springs office. They have a Crystal Wing Award on display for customer service and I can say it is well deserved.
