Although our fur baby’s eyes have retinal damage & therefore surgery to remove his cataracts will not restore his vision, Dr. Burwell & her team still provided us with outstanding care & concern. We were worried that our blind baby would be overwhelmed by having to be separated from us during his appointments but our dog never showed any signs of fear or hesitation. We highly recommend Dr. Burwell & the whole team at Eye Care for Animals Santa Rosa.

Dr Burwell and her staff are absolutely amazing. They were able to get my dog in for surgery on very short notice and gave Sophie the highest level of care possible. I simply cannot pay enough compliments to everyone there and I cannot recommend them enough. Update: We just saw Dr Burwell again for a potential issue with the other eye. The staff got us in quickly and luckily for Sophie, ask that is needed is a medication adjustment.

First off be aware they will not allow you in the building at all. They take your animal and you wait in the parking lot. Which is something they don’t tell you when making an appointment fyi. The doctor was wonderful. Everything leading up to that point one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The assistant Jessica has to be the most Condescending and rude person I’ve possibly ever met. She doesn’t listen to any answer you give her to an asked question. Then you ask a question the rudeness is unbelievable. If it wasn’t for her I’d give 5 stars. Word of advice as a fellow business owner. Your only as good as your worst employee.

Super cautious eye surgeon. We took our farm cat here after we had done everything we could to save his eye and it still had to be removed. Hes back to normal and great recovery. Procedure was just over $4,000.00 FYI

Kind team of people who prescribed a treatment plan that has worked for my dog’s glaucoma and cataract. So grateful she is improving! Very COVID-safe procedures in place so I don’t go in with my dog, but she doesn’t shake before or after her appointment (like at vet or groomer) so I know they must be super sweet to her! Unfortunate the staff has been incredibly rude and inflexible since the original writing of this review and I will be seeking care elsewhere.

I can’t say enough about this veterinarian and her staff. We came here for my cat who had a bad ulceration and sequestrum on his eye. We had previously been to Dr. Neumann and had a terrible experience, so meeting Dr. Burwell was like a breath of fresh air. We were in constant communication with her vet tech prior to the visit. She explained how their office works, that they would review all costs ahead of time, and discuss options. Her tech quickly came out and picked up my cat. A short while later he was back in my car and I received a call from Dr. Burwell. She discussed her evaluation, made sure to answer all of my questions, and outlined a plan of care that we both agreed on. She was so kind, non-judgmental, and very knowledgeable. Her tech came back out with estimates for surgery, should it be needed and information on his condition. So professional. Between her and my primary vet, Dr. Cantrell, my cat is doing so much better. We are managing the condition that caused the ulceration and the sequestrum that developed. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Burwell and her staff. Two visits with them so far and a follow-up phone call (they called me to check in!) and I have nothing but positives to say. Thank you!

Dr Burwell is very attentive to your pets needs and saved our cat's eye when it was close to losing it. The targeted medication got rid of the problem very quickly. Thank You to the kind staff and I wish you luck in all that you do.

Super friendly staff, both personable and professional! Dr. Burwell was very kind and took the time to help me understand everything about my kitty's wonky eye, even though I'm sure a lot of my questions were very dumb! :D I feel very comfortable to have my pets in such good hands!

Really like this place, Didn't try to sell me anything, Just gave me the facts about my dogs eye, Kettle is OK! oh and got-a semi-free leash. , thanks Dr. Rebecca Burwell.
