Linda did my nails and she tried plucking off the dip on top instead of soaking or shaving them down. I let her do three of my nails like this, but had to ask her to stop because it was hurting my nails and didn’t feel right. I felt like she really didn’t want to have to remove the dip because it was hard. My nails ended up super thin afterwards and have been breaking apart ever since I left:( Service: Manicure

The employees were very unfriendly and just ignored questions unless they were working on you and needed an answer. Pedicure started rubbing off after 1 day ( I was being careful). The massage was so bad I didn’t even realize I was getting one. They obviously rely on tourists and not repeat customers, because I can’t imagine why anyone would want to go back. Service: Pedicure

Really nice place-clean, well decorated and had relaxing music playing. I think Tom was the nail tach who did my gel manicure. He was very nice and made pleasant conversation. He took his time and did a very good job on my nails. He used the cuticle pushing tool and a dremel to get the cuticle off my nail. My only complaint is my nails weren't filed completely straight. They are a bit crooked. For $45 I did expect it to be straighter. He may have been a bit distracted, because there was a lady complaining at length about Trump. I would definitely go again and recommend Rio to friends. They probably don't have distracting loud people talking about Trump all the time.

I am in South Lake Tahoe for a few weeks and needed to fill on my acrylic nails. I popped in to see if they could fit me in. I was asked to come back in 1/2 hour. The spa in clean and very nicely kept. They did a nice job on my pink acrylics, but for some reason the woman working on me decito mix two pink colors to try and match what was used on my nails... It did not match so I suggested we paint my nails. Good job on nail shape and she was very gentle. Her ability to paint nails was very good. They don't speak very good English so it is very quiet, no small talk. Chairs are very comfortable. I would use them again.

Wanted to get nails done, I was just wasting time, for up coming trip. I read all reviews and decided since I make my own decision and not let bad or good reviews hinder me from trying some place new, I gave this Salon a shot. Plus it's right across the street from where I'm staying. I had a fantastic experience. Kennedy did my nails perfectly. Tried a new style of nail and new colors. I love my new set. It's only 10$ more than I would pay at home. I'll go back to them if I come back to town.

Super happy about my experience at Rio. We were visiting from out of town and my natural manicure I had four days prior back in the Bay Area did not hold up to the challenge. Rio Nails did a color change for me for $10 and painted my 10 year old daughter’s nails for $7. My manicure is 10x better than the one I arrived with. I highly recommend this salon. They did a great job!

I almost didn't come here after reading the other reviews but I'm so glad I did. They were very friendly.. took their time on my pedicure and the massage. Half way through putting on the polish I decided I didn't like the color and they were very sweet about it. Brought me new colors to choose from and the color with sparkle over was perfect for the Christmas party we were going to. The prices were reasonable, seemed to be average. I would definitely recommend this place.
