Staff is good at the product, Tesla car. But the sales office is just simple; PC & staff. No coffee nor snacks like others.

Experience was good but staff who was assisting us was not interested in giving the details. He was not telling actively about the features/ other information regarding delivery

What should've been a straightforward, quick and fun process was the complete opposite. We were picking up our Tesla Y after almost a year wait, customer service was uptight, unfriendly and slow af. They've rolled out touchless delivery and what should've taken 5 mins took 1hr plus. What's the point? We also got major attitude and impatience from the paperwork lady when we were filling up forms. Seems like the staff think they are holier than thou working at Tesla. We've had better service at Burlingame, don't waste your time here.

After only 43,000 miles my Tesla Model S battery began to fail. A full charge dropped from about 235 miles to a mere 100 miles. The Sunnyvale Service Tesla experts informed me that the battery would completely fail very soon or a few months down the road and I could be stranded. They wanted to charge me $22,000 for a new battery, which they would install in a few months or so. I was furious and hugely disappointed. Counting tax, registration etc., I paid $98,000 for this new Model S Tesla. That the car essentially quit after 43,000 miles and 8 years 4 months leads me to regret every buying it. I begged a Sunnyvale Tesla Service manager to charge less or nothing at all for a new battery since the warranty was up about 5 months prior and my Tesla had only 43,000 miles. The Tesla manger refused. I told him that I thought, given the money I paid, that Tesla would consider finding a good solution for the sake of customer satisfaction. The employee responded to my request (paraphrase): You are just out of luck and Tesla policy is not going to help you. The Sunnyvale Tesla service manager said that he knew of other Tesla’s with failed batteries so mine was not an unexpected event. I will NEVER buy another Tesla. Those cars are expensive, yet their batteries may fail within or just after 8 years. Previously I purchased non-Tesla cars that lasted 110,000 to 150,000 miles. Not my Tesla – only 43,000 miles. A friend also purchased a Tesla. His battery failed after only 67,000 miles. The environmental impact of Tesla cars includes all the effort to mine lithium plus other unattractive environmental effects to produce the massive battery. Now my battery may end up in the landfill. Sunnyvale Tesla said they have no rebuilt batteries. So the environmental impact is not so simple. Plug-in hybrid car batteries have a longer warranty. Their batteries are not as massive as Tesla’s battery. So I am beginning to suspect that the environmental effect of buying Tesla’s and other electric cars may not be the best for the environment. Perhaps plug-in hybrids are a wiser choice.

Tesla has the worst service of any car company I’ve encountered in the last 50 years. No way to communicate; often propose ridiculous solutions to overcharge. Fortunately real car companies know how to provide customer service. I was going to buy a second Tesla because the car is good. I’m waiting for a customer friendly alternative. Tesla = $110,000 but no way to talk to the service department. I’m trying to think what snarky thing Elon would do to highlight the problem and get justice.

I was scheduled a test drive there but they told me there is no car available when got there. That’s fine but cannot u call me in advance as cancellation? Appears they don’t want to make thing better even that it is just a call.

Where to start … The whole process of getting the car was smooth, until I had to deal with their personal. The car had multiple scratches, they took the car to “wash” waited over 30 mins. The manager was available, but their staff really need training on how to deliver with quality without ruining the experience. Overall the staff are careless, careless for delivery, careless for trying to give a good UX.

I got my new Tesla and LOVE it. However, buying it was a struggle. The customer service here is AWFUL. Our salesperson Chance didn't answer emails or try to help in any way. Neither did the generic sales line for this branch. If I wanted any answers throughout the process I had to actually call the main customer service line because no one would answer any emails here. Also, we were told we would get a referral credit for 1,000 free miles of charging. Now that the car is here and paid for it's not available. No one entered the referral code in time! I had to call customer service to find this out. I get that you are busy and probably understaffed but if these people get any commission they do nothing to earn it. I was not a needy customer at all, just had a few simple questions that no one would bother answering. And lost me 1,000 miles of free charging. Truly ridiculous. I would NOT recommend going to this branch.

I took my Model 3 to Sunnyvale SC for the HW3 upgrade. That appears to have gone well, but when I picked up my car the INSIDE was covered with leaves and dirt. Did they leave the windows open all night??? I showed it to the service guy and he says "Thanks for telling me, I'll communicate it to the team". I expected footprints on the floor mats and fingerprints on the plastic but my car now looks like a barn find after 2 days in their possession. I tried calling the service manager several times. Somebody keeps taking my number but I don't expect to ever get a call back. Therefore, I don't expect anyone to learn anything.

Brought my friend from Thailand to take a look at the Tesla, he loved the design. Most of all, the cars are placed outside in open air and we are free to venture without the supervision of the staff. How I wish Tesla can sooner be the top brand in automotive worldwide.
