It's nice. Good to see some smaller sized cups and saucers and some items which are expensive at other outlets, were reasonably priced. Was however surprised to find made in China items in a Japanese store.

One of the larger Daiso's in the area. Always a good selection. Very neat and organized. Lots of parking, though it can be tough to find a spot at night as there are several restaurants in the center.

The price is good. People are not smiling and not friendly. Especially, cashiers are not very friendly: never say “Thank You” instead say “ SIGN HERE”. I notice all of them are doing this. I feel like is it Japanese culture?

Very clean interior and organized shelves. Easy to find everything for the most part. There's a few staff throughout the store and they are easy to approach for questions. KEEP IN MIND: They do not accept Apple Pay or American Express. There's a good variety of dishware and home essentials. I was happy to find some small rice bowls and a cute plate with a whale design on it! (Anyone watched Extraordinary Attorney Woo? LOL) They also provide paper for your ceramics, but you need to wrap them yourself at the cash register.

visited on 9/5/22, some items are out of stock. Overall it is a good dollar store, but compared to the ones I used to go to in SF, it is less cute and organized. Also, the quality seems to be declining. I am confused by which dinnerware contains lead. It was more fun shopping in SF Daiso. This Union City one feels more like a dollar tree. So, I won't visit this one for fun.

Next to Din Ding dumpling house, Daiso in Union City is One of larger stores in the Daiso chain. The store is well stocked with an assortment of household goods with Japanese branding. Most items are manufactured in China....to no one's surprise. Probably 90% of the items are $1.75. Some are more expensive. They have a good selection of cheap but functional kitchenware and other things you might need around the house. The items they sell aren't meant to be durable but at $1.75 one would not expect them to be. Following Japanese product design philosophy, items are cute and functional. In comparison I wouldn't call similar items at IKEA cute. The store itself is a little on the dim and drab side due to insufficient lighting. They took over an old drug store and kept the lighting.

Its kind of mini store . All items you get for less price. Its not that good quality but it can survive for ine or two times. You get the ping pong paddle and balls . Books garden stuff kitchen glass items bathroom stuff and decorations items and party items. You can find the small size slippers. The store is under renovation. So some portion of the store is empty. They have very good collection of the glass items. They also have the trash bags , mapping sticks and almost all house hold items. You also get some snacks and noodles and chips . The store is very easy to identify and the crowd flowing is very good.

There's a lot of great selection of items here that are made from Japan. Price is also decent on most items. Credit Card or Debit transactions are a minimum of $10 and anything below $10 is cash only.
