GameStop

Horrible customer service and rude staff. Went in to purchase a switch with my husband the other night. The male working snapped at my husband about his mask which he had forgotten. Didn’t ask him to kindly put one on or anything but literally was so rude about it. Then as I’m asking about switch availability, insists on trying to give me a pink one all because I’m a female. As he’s helping me, the female employee is yelling and being extremely rude to another customer. Then interrupts our transaction to talk bad about said customer and stomp and storm off. In the end, we chose to not purchase and just leave and not even give this place our business. I have NEVER been to a GameStop and had such blatantly rude customer service. I will stick to our local GameStop or Best Buy from now on. Not even sure how this place is open with such rude staff. ~Maryanne

AutoZone Auto Parts

Usually this place is fine, but today 10/22/22 around 4-6pm I find myself really wanting to leave this parking lot but being unable to. I came to replace my battery which is under a year warranty but main counter employee won’t honor it, in fact he said he would come ‘test it and see’…yet here we are 2 hours later. I don’t think he likes the look of us, probably because we just spent the last 12 hours stuck somewhere else because of a BAD BATTERY, and instead of going home I came to get it replaced (100% legit warranty mind you) cause I’d thought it’d be simple. I would almost find this funny if it weren’t so ridiculously frustrating. Camp out at autozone I guess Update: now at 6:20 we finally got our car started with no thanks to the guy at autozone who said he’d help us then just looked out the window at us. I felt like an animal in a zoo. Pretty sure you can’t treat people like that based on their social class. Yeah I couldn’t buy a whole new battery, but I sure bought the first one with the warranty still in effect. ID and phone number matches, so what’s the deal? he could have honored and I could’ve been home if he wasn’t judging us and basically refusing to serve us. Based on what, how we look? Stuff like this makes it tempting to sue a mf-er, (pardon my suggested language) ~Joshua

Du Mobile

This person initially told me on the phone that the price to repair my phone (Samsung Note 10+) was $290 out of the door (including tax etc). He also said that if I drop off today, it will be ready for pickup tomorrow. Based on review, I dropped off the phone and He asked for $300 +Tax. I reminded him of our conversation and he agreed. But now he asked for cash instead so he would charge for tax and also he needs cash to order the part for this phone since its not in stock. I should've been alarmed at this point. but out of frustration and my next out of the state trip, I felt tied up and willing to proceed. Gave him 300 cash and he never returned $10 but instead offered to put on a screen protector for me. I mentioned that no screen protector works for this phone since fingerprint scanner is embedded in the screen and it jeopardizes the scanner. He insisted that his screen protectors are of best quality and it will indeed work. I was told next day that the part never arrived and the phone will not be ready. Now I am going out of the town without my phone, so I bought a temporary cheap phone in the meantime to help while I am away. I returned 5 days later and went to pick up my phone. The was not ready. He pulled it out of his plastic drawer and said I am still waiting on part and the part is expected to arrive in next one hour and that I should pick up in next one hour. I couldn't return in one hour, but arrived next day. The phone was ready but as anticipated the calibration was off, phone touchscreen was off and fingerprint did not work. He ripped the screen protector off and hand over the phone. He had added a cheap plastic phone cover and I could not see the seem. Upon arriving at home, when I tried to switch the phone cover to my original, I notice the phone seals are never glued together or poorly done and phone's right side is wide open. the phone does not pickup signal, and GPS are constantly lost. every once in a while connection comes in and stays for a second or two and then gets lost. This was not the behavior of the phone I dropped it off. Now it's a paper weight and I do not a faith in this guy for another repair job. Please see attached after repair condition Edit: I was informed by another technician. that side of the batter is busted, so the back lid does not fit in its place. also that FRC Flex Cable is busted with its connectors not able to plug into the motherboard. This Moron really did messed up my phone and I wished that I had listed to my original gut and took a receipt of repair and paid him with CC. What a trash of a human and irresponsible technician and trashy business man. I will never recommend anyone to go to this moron.. Edit 2nd: its been one week since I pickup the phone and now there is black spot on screen ~Ozzie

Loop Neighborhood Market

I have a problem when the store puts product for sale and u see the price and u grab the item and go to the register and they scan it it turns out to be a different price that’s false advertising so u can buy it. But the law says if it’s marked a certain price on the shelf that’s the price it should be but I guess they don’t follow those laws. They Just put stuff on shelf’s with different pricing that’s is wrong trying to cheat the customer that’s not right. I would rate them a no star because that’s not how u do business. I won’t come to this store next time I’ll just go to chevron. ~Peter

Daiso Japan

Next to Din Ding dumpling house, Daiso in Union City is One of larger stores in the Daiso chain. The store is well stocked with an assortment of household goods with Japanese branding. Most items are manufactured in China....to no one's surprise. Probably 90% of the items are $1.75. Some are more expensive. They have a good selection of cheap but functional kitchenware and other things you might need around the house. The items they sell aren't meant to be durable but at $1.75 one would not expect them to be. Following Japanese product design philosophy, items are cute and functional. In comparison I wouldn't call similar items at IKEA cute. The store itself is a little on the dim and drab side due to insufficient lighting. They took over an old drug store and kept the lighting. ~East
