I was just shocked today. We were doing a walk through house we're buying, and this company was hired by sellers to pack and move the house.... Our agent was also there. We did a walk through, and were standing in the garage, when this guy (with grey hair in a low ponytail) started screaming that we are on their way and have the entire house to stay but we here. He raised his voice and lost temper in just a second while we haven't even replied. And we told him that he could've just asked nicely, but he continued screaming at us. As per my undertsanding he was a driver. The team leader didn't handle it as well and didn't interrupt his worker...though briefly apologized. I'm ready to send a license plate number to the owner so he knows who worked that day (at Security Widefield area, Colorado Springs).

I submitted a review that was sent to my personal email for the company, but no one ever got back to me after that. Anyway, I thought I could at least share my honest review for people to do with what they wish. There are things about this company that were great, namely Rudy (GM) and Kristie (VP?). The man who delivered our belongings was wonderful as well (Billie I believe). They were the only positive part of our experience. We moved from Colorado to a nearby state earlier this summer, and my husband and I had about a week to settle in before starting new careers. We made this known when looking for companies. When quoted for our move, we were told that the "delivery date would be significantly whittled down" from the two week span we were initially given, and that to whittle it down, we needed to sign and book the move officially. We've never used a moving company prior, so we did so (in hindsight, a bit naive). The quality of packing was terrible, and there isn't really another way to put it. It truly looked like someone walked through the house and yard and chucked things in a box. There were flower pots with dirt in it in the box with our master bath towels and a canvas painting. Absolutely no rhyme or reason, and rooms were definitely not packed together. Random bolts were thrown into the bottom of an office box. I still have no idea where several things went (trashcan, shower curtain, half of a scentsy base??). I'm assuming there was. a box somewhere that didn't get unloaded. LONG story short, our things didn't arrive until the exact two week mark. Trying to get in touch with our coordinator was a nightmare until legitimately the last 24 hours prior to our things arriving. We were given about a 4 hour window to pay "or our belongings could be withheld", and our coordinator disappeared from both us and the GM of the company after sending the email. I panicked and contacted the GM, who was kind enough to show us how to pay online. The coordinator was very responsive the day our things arrived, but it's a bit late at that point after weeks of begging for our things. I know it's been busy and they have to coordinate drivers, but good gracious it's frustrating when you've booked two months in advance and weren't given an honest assessment of a timeline. Especially in a time as high-stress as this one. This was our first company experience, and I honestly know it would have been easier if we'd just done it ourselves. We're both healthcare workers and really just wanted to treat ourselves to a less-stressful move after the last 1.5 years, but that's definitely not our experience. Just keep those things in mind when reviewing.

After living in Longmont for over 32 years, we somewhat unexpectedly decided to move to Missouri. We were stressed about the move and really didn't know how it was all supposed to work. From the first phone call I made until the final box was put in our new home, the folks at Golden Van Lines took incredible care of us. Based on experiences that some of our friends have had with other movers, our expectations were low. But they didn't need to be. Golden was there every step of the way, answering our questions and treating us like family. Our initial quote was spot on and the tips John gave me when we walked through the house we moved out of were invaluable. The guys (Dustin and his crew) worked their butts off both loading and unloading the truck - and they treated both homes AND our belongings like they were their own. Needless to say, Golden exceeded all of our expectations and then some. I even got a personal call a few days after our stuff was delivered to make sure everything went according to plan. No damage and nothing broken...my wife and I are SO glad we went with Golden!

I cannot begin to describe how poor my experience with Golden Vanlines was. My earthly belonging were treated with no care and immense disrespect. The team was unprofessional who both packed and loaded my belongings. Nothing was actually packed, no wrapping or cushion everything was literally thrown into wardrobe boxes and taped shut. The damage was in the tens of thousand dollars. I am even missing several items. Their inventory systems only works if the people doing it are performing it correctly. It was so poor that the owner of the company had to write me an apology letter and suspend the team who performed the pack and load. A moving company is supposed to make a move easier, it is literally their one job. You had one job and failed. They first sent a gentleman, who made me feel like I could trust the company out to assess the move. I know now it was a sales pitch and they do not perform the work as they said they would and are not true to their word. In closing, find someone better. There are much better companies out there. I honestly would not trust them to move trash to the dump. Update: While some of the things the owner replied are true. This is the exact platform I should use to review a company of which I am either satisfied or unsatisfied with. Money and replacement DOES NOT mean I should not share my experience. I would have preferred all of my belongings made it to their location in their original state. Their quality team telling me to “ Please try to let this go as you enjoy the things you like.” was hard to do when I was missing items to be able to do this. It took me 8 months to write this review because of how upset I was with the entire ordeal. I am always open to discussion the owner could contact me directly. By far the best move I've ever had (moved 13 times). Golden Van Lines hit a home run for us. They were spot on with the estimate. Very affordable. Arrived on time as promised. Gabriel and his team packed our entire home with care and delivered everything in perfect condition. I could not be happier with Golden Van Lines. I highly recommend Golden Van Lines / Atlas VL. Golden van lines might be good for a local move, but my out of state move was an absolute disaster. The long haul mover was extremely dishonest. My boxes were carefully packed and labelled, some to go into storage and some for my final move destination. Without my permission, he opened my packed boxes and stuffed additional boxes in them, squashing my items. He then lied about this on delivery. One box with an expensive blender was missing. My peloton was jammed into the truck and damaged. He did this in order to make more money and fit more loads onto his truck. I have moved across the country about 5 times and have never experienced anything like this. Unfortunately, things were so chaotic with COVID, changing jobs, moving, personal family matters - i was not on the ball during the delivery and did not count all the items and readily identify the problems. I allowed them to put my wrapped peloton bike in the trunk of my car, which i then transported to another building, so the company did not give me any refund at all for any of this. So, that was my fault and I have learned my lesson to not be so trusting in the future. I had to hire other people to help reorganize and move my items for storage since the mover made such a mess and mixed all of my property together that I had previously sorted and packed in a particular way. I paid almost $8000 for this move and it was entirely unethical and unprofessional and an invasion of privacy to have my items opened. Atlas Van Lines was the company they contracted with. Edited After Response from Company. Yes the original claim had 2 items and it was after fully unpacking and beginning the install we found the projector to be damaged. I don't appreciate the assumption that we are being dishonest somehow because we found additional damage after the original claim. My husband is a wounded war veteran and doesn't have a dishonest bone in his body. I'm pretty sure internal damage can be caused to electronic items during transit. I appreciate your generic justification for trying to get out of paying for the most expensive item that was working right before the move. I guess that internal damage happened after the move? Not acceptable and such a sham. I wouldn't recommend using this company if you want your items undamaged post move. USER BEWARE. They damaged several items in transit and when we went to do an insurance claim for which we paid for, we were told because our $1500 projector didn't show physical damage and only internal damage causing it not to work that we were out of luck. Also tried to say they must have not moved it because it wasn't on the manifest. Yeah, it was packaged in a box, of course it wasn't. This projector is a year old of which we have proof of purchase and they basically told us to pound sand, it wasn't their fault. Oh and we can't get paid for the items they do agree were damaged until we sign a release. That's convenient on their part. Seriously, DO NOT USE if you value your belongings because that insurance you pay for doesn't do anything.

Do not use these movers. Very unprofessional. The lead mover arrived angry, and seemed like he hadn't slept. He argued about everything and kept bringing up extra charges even though we had been guaranteed a price. He refused to wear a mask and became angry when we asked him to. He threatened to leave and told us to find someone else to deliver our belongings. His behavior was down-right shocking and disrespectful. They removed drawers from our dresser and damaged them. They refused to put them back together. We ended up hiring someone to come in and put the furniture back together. We have moved across country several times and have never seen such unprofessionalism. This is not a good company. Service: Interstate moving

John and his team(s) all provided excellent customer service, everyone was very personable making our move a great experience. Timely communication throughout the move, the entire team was very attentive and careful during both the packing and unpacking phase. Appreciated the attention to detail and heads up on some more critical items that helped to make this move a success. This was our second move cross country and by far the best experience.

Golden Van Lines moved my parents into a senior living apartment in June and did a fabulous job! Great crew, treating my parents belongings with extreme care and were great with them in a very stressful time in their life. Very personal service and I would not ever hesitate to use them again!
