Following the Whaoo tradition, the flavor of the food are consistent with othe of their locations in Southern California. We bought the stuffed quesadilla and Plate #2 consisting of a shrimp 🦐 taco and a crispy fish 🐟 taco 🌮🌮🌮 Food was delicious and portions were big. Great value for the money

The setting of this Wahoo Fish Taco is beautiful in the Fashion Island Mall. You can eat inside or outside with a beautiful waterfall. Lots of comfortable seating. Great to sit here with friends and family. We were thrilled to see all of the plant- based food that tasted great. The eco-friendly bags and cups were great for recycling. All of the food is good the burritos are huge and good for two meals. Of course the fish is good as you would expect. The one downfall is that it’s always very busy and can be a long wait. Try to not go during lunch, peak shopping time. Enjoy the food and the indoor setting is great too.

It was sort of bland, was expecting more considering the area. Also the plate I ordered is expensive and when I asked the bartender for a drink. My drink was never served 😞

The food was okay, but my Wahoo salad was pretty bland. On the other hand, I am on a diet and picked something healthy, and did not gain weight after eating it.

I usually get the taquitos and they are good. My wife had the Maui burrito and she said other wahoos make it better. The restaurant was clean and the seating and service was good.

I love this place and eat here every time I come home. However I was rather annoyed today when I showed up at 6:35pm when the place closes at 7 and I was told they are not taking anymore customers. Just find it weird and unprofessional to not honor your hours with no explanation why.

My husband and I love Wahoos and eat here all the time, but typically at the South Coast Plaza location. Today, we just happened to be at Fashion Island so we ordered for pickup through DoorDash at this location. After finishing our errand, we went and sat right by the pick up area. After about 15 minutes my husband checked with one of the workers to see if our order was almost ready. She said it wasn’t ready yet. So, we waited another 15 minutes and then a different worker asks if we are waiting for an order. We say yes and he asks for the name, then we learn that our order had apparently been ready the FIRST time we had checked on it. This worker then proceeds to tell us that we should have kept asking for our order over and over again until it was ready, even though it had already been ready and sitting in the pick up area? He was very rude and instead of apologizing for their mistake he made it seem like it was our fault. We will not be returning to this location. *the prepared order was also not entirely correct*

First time at this location, it was not crowded and the service was good. I ordered their crispy Baja rolls and they were good but I didn't think they were crispy enough.

🌟 ONE OF THE BETTER WAHOO'S LOCATIONS 🌟 ✔️ INSIDE - Plenty of seating, the booths in the back are padded and comfortable. Typical Wahoo's decor with stickers and signs showcasing skate, surf & snow. Music is not too loud and conversation is easy to have while eating. ✔️ FOOD & DRINKS - After several visits I have to admit it is consistently good, fresh tasting food. Soda dispenser has good carbonation, salsa is fresh. Black beans are cooked exactly right, not mushy or hard. Rice is not overcooked, fish was fresh & seasoned perfectly. ✔️ LOCATION - It's a fairly quiet location, with the food court area being far enough away as to be a non-factor. The seating surrounds the "bar" area which actually eliminates the "Fish Bowl" effect. There is outdoor seating adjacent to the building. This Wahoo's almost feels secluded from the rest of the Atrium. ✔️ STAFF - This location has the friendliest staff of any location I have visited. They are professional and courteous despite having to deal with the occasional Fashion Island snobs. The staff on the night I was there showed excellent attention & friendly service. :: OVERALL :: I only like 2 Wahoo's locations for various reasons. The original Costa Mesa location & this Fashion Island spot. The prices are reasonable, the food is fresh & nothing is overpriced, including alcohol. :: ABOUT COMPLAINTS BELOW :: I did not expect free food because of some App, I did not get "Green" sauce on my tacos, my order was ready within 15 minutes of ordering & as for small salsa portions - I simply asked for more salsa with my meal and got it free of charge. Not sure about bland flavors, get spicy next time, it is an option after-all.

We go here occasionally for dinner. Place even at 6pm only has 1/2 covers filled. Interesting this location has a bar also. The bar cocktails are advertised when you order. They have beers too, not sure if tap. There is also seating outside in a fancy sunken atrium. The ripple wet wall is pretty relaxing and provides some convective cooling on a hot day. Service has been a wide range. From completely ignored while the only person taking orders does one or two phone orders. Lately there is different staff that explains the choices and makes nice suggestions. If you know Wahoos get the onion rings with ranch and (my pref) some Tapatio or Cholula picante pepper sauce. There are more protein choices as well as how you'd like the food prepped. Wahoo's is a lot more than fish tacos now. For example, my friend had a tasty chicken Banzi bowl with brown rice and tasty veggies. Oh, so grindable. Two restrooms, Men/Women around the side to the left as you show up to the last register. Also, they have a clean drink bar with Pepsi flavor choices. For drinks they offer three types of iced tea.
