Nice local grocery store. Not bad for a chain store. Have all the basics. Produce,eats and fish, deli, prepared chickens and food to go. What is really nice is their current GO rewards points. You earn points for every dollar you spend that you can apply to discount gas prices or towards groceries.

If you’re a vegetarian I unfortunately would go elsewhere. Unlike most Stop and Shop locations, this store does not have the organic / vegetarian / gluten free food section, nor does it carry any of the standard vegetarian foods that most other Stop & Shops carry (ie morningstar, Gardien, Boca, Impossible Foods, Beyond Meat, jackfruit, seitan etc). Giving two stars because they did have tofu and a decent, though small, Thai food selection. My Fiancé also said the fish is quite good.

As with what's happening all over the country now, prices have gone up and some of the shelves are empty such as in the pet food aisle. Some items that I have been buying for years haven't been available so I've had to buy different brands. Their chicken parts are tough, as if they're old soup chickens. Employees are friendly and helpful.

Self check out doesn't work. Only 2 cashier's and it was busy. They force you to go to self checkout and then they don't work, and it takes you longer. At least 5 of them had issues. Ours had issues 3 times. Go back to consumer friendly

Stop & Shop has been the decline over the past few years. I live on the west side of town kind of halfway between the Colchester store in the East Hampton store. The last time I went to the East Hampton store there was a group of employees smoking cigarettes right by the entrance. There were no shopping carts in the outside of the store. The hand wipe dispenser was empty and it took me less time to shop than it did to get through the one of the only two check-outs that were open. I now exclusively go to Big Y in Marlborough. Always plenty of checkouts open. The store is much cleaner; much better organized and has upstanding employees who are extremely courteous. It's like a whole new world.

They have a wide variety of goods that even touches on many ethnic groups. They always seem to have what I need. Well organized and mindful of current pandemic worries on the part of their patrons. They provide points for shopping that translate into savings at Stop & Shop gas pumps. This is a nice touch and makes it an added incentive to shop at their stores. Bring your coupons because they are readily accepted.

I’ve gone here for years and it’s always got what I need. The meat is lays fresh and good. The place is also very clean and the self checkout out process is easy and fast. If you have a problem the people there are usually very nice. I got strawberries here recently and they were really good!

So the store is decent, has a pretty good selection unless your trying to make sushi (start carrying nori!) But I will say it’s a little pricey , might save a little bit of cash if you make the drive to Norwich, but none of us will hah
