Excellent customer service experience there - I went in because they have the bivalent COVID-19 vaccine and I wanted to get a booster for my mother and myself. The pharmacist Ken was extremely courteous and efficient. I like the idea of patronizing a small independent business instead of the national chains, although I live out of town so I won't be able to get back very often.

If you've been to the wallgreens or CVS in Fairfield and then switched to here, you'd know there's nothing that needs to be said. Friendly staff, phones that are actually answered, medication is filled on time, and no insane lines! Makes you wonder why you ever put up with the big chain stores in the first place! Black Rock Pharmacy (by a long shot) > CVS > Wallgreens

I can not say enough about this place! Ken Lee is the best pharmacist and human being around. I was utterly fed up with the nonsense at CVS and switched pharmacies to Black Rock which was total night and day. Ken makes everything so much easier and I am so thankful for that.

Consistently the BEST service. Efficient, caring, pleasant interactions every single time I go in for a prescription, vaccine, or anything. Made the switch last year from the “big guys” down the street, and let me just say… I really wish we had done it sooner.

There's always someone readily available to answer questions and when I call...someone, a real person, picks up quickly(as opposed to CVS). You truly put your customers first! I was going to CVS down the street. WHAT A DISASTER!!! Black Rock Pharmacy is basically the exact opposite of everything Black Rock CVS... Friendly and helpful staff who ACTUALLY CARE, no long lines, a functioning drive-thru window, someone who answers the phone, and they can fill prescriptions while you wait (and, unlike CVS, "while you wait" doesn't mean that your clothing will have gone out of style by the the time they fill your prescription). They also sell Homesick Candles, old-timey candies, and other cool stuff. Much thanks to Ken for opening a great pharmacy!!!

I should have done this review a long time ago but better late than never! I started going to this place when they opened after one too many terrible experiences with CVS. The first time I dropped a prescription off and they said “is 10 minutes okay?” I have never been the same!!! I didn’t even know it was possible to not have to wait 2-5 business days for a prescription to get filled. And not to mention, they are the kindest employees you’ll ever meet - they remembered our names and constantly go above and beyond to assist you whenever there’s an issue. When my insurance changed, I didn’t even have to tell them. They we’re ready to go. Long gone are the days where I’ve had to sit on hold with CVS for 2 hours, only to have them tell me there’s nothing they can do and I have to call my doctor/insurance/etc. I have recommended them to everyone I know even though I’m scared to give up this hidden gem!! Easiest 5 stars I’ve ever given.

Being caught-up in the national chain stores has been an evolving practice as the neighborhood independently owned pharmacies were closing to these Superstore open all night behemoths became the mainstay for our Rx’s. It wasn’t until these huge get it all in one stop places took the personalized service out of the equation and we became #s and weren’t treated with care that people (Like myself) craved that personal touch again , being greeted by name, have a person pick-up and speak to you when you call, these are the things Black Rock Pharmacy has brought back into our lives. Ken and his staff are all consumet professionals who care about your entire experience while in the confines of the store. I applaud their practices and say thank you. KK

I was going to the large chain pharmacy on Black Rock for a few months. Within that time they continuously made mistakes which led to me not being able to receive my medication in a timely manner on many occasions. I now go to Black Rock Pharmacy and every refill is available almost immediately. Ken the pharmacist has given me the best prices possible on my medications saving me money every month. The staff there are also very helpful and friendly. The drive through window is an added convenience too.
