Guilford U-Haul far exceeded my expectations. From the booking of the appointment to the completed installation, things could not have gone better. The trailer hitch was also very reasonably priced and the installation turned out great. Their familiarity with the car and what needed to be done truly demonstrated their knowledge base. The hitch was installed on my daughters car and I feel very confident I chose the right place. Every employee demonstrated a high degree of professionalism. Thank you.

We are pleased with the Guilford U-haul experience. We had to store our entire two-bedroom apartment for less than a month, therefore we chose two units of 10*10*8 size. Our units were on the second floor but the building had multiple furniture dollies that you can use in the elevator, so it was easy and fast. We chose this location because it was secure/ climate controlled/ accessible. Additional information: -staff was always nice -the building has electronic card access -we got the locks for both of our units free of charge -the times we visit our units, the building was always clean -the bathrooms were clean -loading and unloading zone was very convenient and easy to access

This review isn't specific to this location (where I rented a 26' truck from), but U-Haul in general and mainly the claims department. I rented a 26' truck to move and rented the furniture pads. I received one set of furniture pads that were brand new in the plastic wrap (didn't think anything of it at the time). The reminder were used. Turns out the new gray & black furniture pads with blue logos/lettering bleed. The blue, gray, and black bled onto my couch, mattress, a storage bench, and a rocker. I submitted a claim to U-Haul with the hopes that the situation would be rectified only for my claim to pretty much be denied. I was offered a small amount of money so I could clean the stains off (not going to happen). Also here is what I was told about my mattress. "The mattress is still completely usable as you cover the mattress with sheets and blankets." I am sure if I said "the truck still works even though I spray painted the entire side of it" they would've been ok. Complete joke of a company in regards to customer service/accountability.

These are the most customer service oriented people I have come across in years. Other businesses should take a page from their book. We visited daily for over a week as we prepared for a move. Very helpful advice, very helpful with supplies, even helped loading our purchases.

Ordered a hitch for my car over 2 weeks ago and had to reschedule 2 times because it didn’t come in before my appointment. No one calls me to let me know what’s going on so I’m on the phone for 40 minutes trying to get a hold of someone. They finally let me know that it’s on back order and they can’t get anything for me. I’ll never go here and if you go here don’t expect much. Had to be on the phone for 50 minutes just to get a refund.

Called 3 times today during business hours, while listed as open. Followed the prompts to the hitch install and they never picked up the phone. After waiting a long time on each call, I went to another local company and set an appointment with them for the install. After reading the other reviews I am not suprised about this U-H customer service being lacking.

Had a scheduled appointment to install a tow hitch & NO ONE had a clue as to why i was there. They called MGR which he came in & claimed part never arrived. Took off from work to drive 45min without any luck. Would NOT recommend to anyone

Bad experience. We ordered a hitch, paid for it, and were told they would call us when it came in around June 1. On June 1, we received a call asking "where are you, we're supposed to install your hitch today?" No, we were supposed to get a call to arrange to come in and made an appointment for June 17. The day before they called to say not to come in on June 17, because the "part was on back order." Not getting a coherent answer, we drove over to straighten this out. The store clerks said apparently they had sold the hitch we had purchased to another customer.... they could give no date, even approximate, when they would get another hitch. Blamed it on the "company policy." I suggested the manager call me. No call.
