There was an error on the banks part when trying to transfer my funds. Sometimes errors happen, what really frustrated me was the amount of time and energy it took me to correct the bank’s error. Spent over an hour trying to get through to the branch over the phone. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes the menu options would change and result in the call dropping when I clicked the different menu options. When I came was forced to come in to fix the error it took another hour of me sitting and waiting while the branch worker was being placed on hold and seemingly answering emails as I sat. The bank transfer error coupled with the lack of respect for other peoples time is what frustrated me.

So we have a business account and personal accounts at the East Main Street Meriden location. We only kept our accounts because of a very intelligent, kind banker named Kathy that knew what she was doing and how to do her job in an extremely kind and professional manner. With that said we started working with another banker Nancy that took her place and so far she’s okay. It’s not easy to fill the shoes of someone that had many years experience and was kind no matter if you were a millionaire or completely broke or somewhere in between!! Unfortunately we had somewhat of an emergency today and so I drove to the bank, I went to the door with my mask and THERE WAS NO OTHER CUSTOMER INSIDE just a banker that came to the door asked if I had an appointment I told her that I did not but gave her a small amount of information concerning our issue. She looked at me with a shrug look on her face and said “AND”!!!! And, And are serious we have a business account for many years as well as personal accounts and she said, “AND I don’t see how that’s our problem”!!!! I went to my car very upset and immediately went back and knocked on the door and asked for her name she said Mrs. Rice!! That behaviour and customer service skills or lack of are disgusting and with all of the options for banking including online banking I am utterly appalled!! I definitely think at this point we WILL EXPLORE our many many other choices for banking!! This is not okay and how she obtained a job where she has to personally interact with customers means someone that hired her definitely were either desperate or dropped the ball on quality employees!! She didn’t attempt to help the situation in any way didn’t say oh call the customer service or would you like to make an appointment (even though she was doing absolutely nothing and there were no customers in the bank when I walked up she was literally talking to coworkers)!! I am very upset and hope there will be repercussions for her lack of professionalism and complete lack of humanity PERIOD!!!

The bank is very good but when I got there 2 cars pulled up into handicap spaces and did not have permits to do so. I hope the bank takes action against those two drivers who think they can just park anywhere they want to. AGAIN TODAY MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY I CAME TO USE THE ATM AND 2 PEOPLE USING THEM BOTH PARKED ILLEGALY IN YOUR HANDICAPP SPOTS. PHOTOS ARE POSTED. A BLUE KIA CT PLATE 912ZPF HISPANIC LADY. AND WHITE HONDA AP34869 A BLACK LADY. CAN YOU GIVE THE POLICE THEIR INFORMATION SO THEY CAN PROPERLY TICKET BOTH OF THEM
