Went to buy Champagne for gifts. I would have spent a large amount of money, but very difficult to get anyone to help me. One lady said she would, but never came away from the register or asked another employee to come to assist me. Finally got a young man who was unable to answer questions, and called his supervisor--who was in the back for help. Waste of time. The Champagne did not have boxes (where did they go?) and they knew I needed them for gifts. Never even offered to wrap them for me. So they lost the sale. I thought this store was high end. Wrong about that! No, there was no offer made to wrap it, and no suggestions. I guess you have nothing to learn from the feedback that will change the way you treat customers. You lost a $400 sale. I hope you are proud of that.

My husband uses M and R store in Manchester. Best service in the area Parking lot easy access and safer than most, great selection of wine and beers, No more expensive than other package stores in the area, Brendan the manager is an excellent employee. It is a pleasure to shop in this store.

Had previously shopped and here and believed that it had a great selection as well as great service. However, today I wanted to purchase some liquor for my new apartment as I am learning to make cocktails, and the cashier refused my service strangely insinuating that I could be allowing my 11 year old sister that is staying with me to drink - didn’t even check my ID. I understand for the purposes of liability, but in this case it was very insulting.

I was looking for a rare bottle of something. They did not have it. But they were extremely helpful in determining my options and then arranging and placing a special order for me. Edit: 8/27/20 - I've changed this to a one-star experience. I had been looking for a bottle of rum and when I was originally in the store, they did not have it but a manager looked it up and stated that it was available and he would order it for me. He took my name and phone number. He said he would call me within a few days but two weeks went by with no call. So I went back to the store, one week ago, on a Friday. I told the manager who was on-duty what happened and that I understood, maybe they lost my number. He took my information (name and phone number and item) and said he would order it and call me on Monday, either way, to confirm. It's now Thursday and I have not received the call which he said I would have. That's twice. There won't be a third!
