This store is better kept than most plus staff is friendly. But I'm not a fan of DG in general because their prices and merchandise quality is just horrible. If its name brand- they sell smaller packages of stuff to keep price low , but reality is its more per pound / or per item than if you were to purchase elsewhere. NOT cheaper just smaller. The off brand stuff is bad quality , don't even waste your money. foil and napkins are very thin, bags will rip. On the flip side it is convenient.

This place is overcrowded with narrow aisle and retail merchandise waiting on u-boats to be shelved in each aisle and the end of each aisle. If there was ever an emergency; it would be a hazard to getting out. Prices a decent. Staff is helpful and friendly.

The staff is great! The store is just always out of something, which is disappointing. I don’t go as often bc they usually don’t have everything I need in stock.

Not enough personnel. Young man no sooner starts to try and stock items received, that he has to stop, change gears, and start checking out more customers. Sell all the stuff you have in the store PLEASE, before you bring in so much more merchandise that it's all over the place, blocking the aisles as well as the merchandise that's already there. There is no room in the store for walking or shopping safely.I am taking photos next time. I love DG but this is ridiculous! It's obvious the management doesn't give a hoot about their employees, nor their customer's safety. Hire more people. They're risking their lives every single day working during these difficult times with this Covid-19 virus for minimal pay.

I love dollar general it's good priced and convenient.My only issue is that this store is never stocked.I watch their deliveries the items are not being shipped in to restock.I've been waiting 6 months for color safe bleach,and 3 months for t shirts.The store in a whole has shelves so empty you would think that they left the doors open after closing.It always looks like could've been robbed.

Very disappointed with the Dollar general on Fairfield Ave Waterbury...store is a mess. Cashier didn't have his mask on...when I asked him to put it on he did so however with an attitude! I have encountered several different cashiers who were courteous & friendly. This cashier Didn't tell me my total & didn't say thank you. He was rude & disrespectful..I don't know his name. Tall African American.

The employees are ABSOLUTELY....AMAZING. They're always so nice, helpful and welcoming. Even more important they take great care of the store. Its always very very clean. I even asked why they're always so nice and in such great moods and the reply was simply "why not". Gotta love them. Luckily for me it's the closest dollar general to my house but even if it wasn't I would gladly travel further just to be greeted the way I am in that store.

Its ok. You're not really going to find anything for a dollar. I bought a double pack of 9v batteries for $9!! They have a variety of items for those times you need to make a quick stop.
