The staff is rude. The girls were too lazy to actually take all my bags of clothing. It was a black girl and some white girl, definitely not up to standards. Would not recommend

This is absolutely my favorite place to buy high end, second hand clothing. Everyone is complaining that they don't buy everything but I'm thankful that they don't because it saves you time from sorting through stuff that went out of fashion 8 years ago. Its a second hand store so of course some of the stuff isn't going to be the greatest but if you just look for a minute they have lots of name brand stuff for really cheap. They carry loads of American Eagle, Pink, etc. which I love! I got a $20 romper new with tags for $7 and it was super cute! Especially if you know how to sew and you can alter the sizes a bit you'll be able to find lots of fantastic deals on high quality clothes. Their jeans section especially has lots of great options. I found a pair of American Eagle jeans for $12 that had no wear and looked brand new that would have easily cost $60 in the mall. The staff were friendly. I would highly recommend this place!

Unfortunately the reviews are true about selling to them. They rarely take items even with the tags on them, I’ve gone more than a few times and they buy maybe one or two things out of multiple bags of clothes. It’s weird though because the clothes on the racks are never in great condition or great brands so I don’t know why they wouldn’t want better items to sell.

A pretty good place. A lot of the bad reviews come from people who get their hopes too high about what they are offered for their clothes; if your clothes are so expensive you should have no problem selling them yourself... you drop off stuff you don't want anymore and expect to get paid at what you bought it for lol, this place takes all the work out so of course you're getting a low rate. Same thing for pawn shops. They need to make $$$. Good selection and honestly happy with what they offered, $15 for a vera bradley duffel and 2 stupid button up shirts.

I visited Plato’s Closet on 11/21 and I brought with me a large bag of name brand clothing some in season, some out of season, but they were mostly new items that I had only worn once. It took them two hours to sort through my clothing before I received a text notifying me that they had finished sorting through my items. They only took two items out of the several that I had brought in and offered me $8. Now as I said earlier my items were both name brand and in good condition, but some how not up to their standards. Meanwhile, I had taken a browse through the store and the clothes on the racks were very worn looking. Most of the shoes had stains on them or the leather was peeling off of them. Also, I watched a gentleman in front of me walk in with new New Nike’s in the box and they offered him $10. This place is a joke. Do not come here smh.

Shop here so much I know the employees are sick of me lol. I’ve sold a couple times to them and was happy with how much money I got, more than I would If I donated to goodwill which I have for my entire life. Also to the other reviews if you don’t like how much you are getting for your items then sell them yourself on Depop or something.

If yours selling stuff, they rip you off. They accept stolen items like designer hand bags and shoes. So it’s great if you want to steal and need a quick dollar. I was told to leave because I gave them a description of my items and asked if anyone came by to set it to them. I just wanted to know if they had them and what I need to do to get them back.

LOVE stopping by this place!!!! The staff is super friendly, everything is so organized and clean. And best of all, they have current styles AND great prices!!! 💃Its also very convenient to be able to drop off clothes that don't fit anymore for extra cash that I would have other wise taken to goodwill. Just make sure they are clean, in good condition and currently in style. Their buyers have always been very helpful in explaining this process and giving me tips for dropping off clothes for next time. If you haven't stopped in yet you should!!!! 👚👜👠
