Good enough CVS stocked with regular pharmacy stuff. Employees have always been nice. Their self checkout machines are always pretty annoying- calling for employee assistance multiples times.

Store has a sign that says masks are recommended, but employees are requiring customers to wear masks. They need to retrain employees or fix the signs.

This CVS is a joke but given all the other poor reviews I doubt CVS corporate cares. This CVS used to be open 24 hours, then started closing at midnight due to the pandemic. The website and Google still says they close at midnight but they actually claim to close at 9p now with handwritten hours on the door. However even a 9p close is generous. I've been in the store at 845 and had them calling over the PA system that the store was closed, even turned away customers trying to enter saying the store was already closed. The entrance on the Mass Ave side (the main address) closes at 5pm with no details why. If I didn't live on top of the store I'd never go and only do so in a pinch if it happens to be during the "open" hours...whatever they are.

Clearly this store has a problem with the concept of operating hours. Their website, and all of their map and media posts say that they now close at midnight. Got here at 11:15, and all the doors are locked. Not even the courtesy of posting a sign suggesting they’re closed to prevent you from walking around the entire building, nor can any of the staff members take a second from just hanging out inside to give you so much as a gesture to suggest they’re not open. Trash. Just trash.

I feel like they just close whenever they feel like it... on Sunday they closed at 6pm today to they closed at 9pm last week I asked mid day and they said they close at 10pm... This is annoying since this is the only place open in Mount Vernon or should be...

I understand the changes required for COVID-19 and recognize that hours of operations have needed to be adjusted but if your sign says you are open at 8am, why is that everytime I attempt to visit the store at 815am, you are not open? My visit on Wednesday July 1st, left a half dozen at risk people waiting on the street (sign on door indicates that 8-10am, Wednesday is for at risk individuals) and a dairy truck not able to make the delivery.

This branch has gone downhill incredibly fast. They are no longer open 24 hours, the accessible entrance is closed most of the day, the self-checkouts are consistently broken, they never open when they are supposed to, and no one seems to have any idea what's going on. I would guess this place will close within the next 6 months.

Dog friendly! The pharmacy team is helpful and patient. I have a long, foreign last name and the staff here are the only people who pronounce it correctly. They are helpful on the phone and reliable. Once they forgot to refrigerate my Rx and the Pharmacist noticed, dumped it and refilled it in just a few mins while I waited. I like that they are a local lifeline and are super polite to people who may be on a lower income; the area is popular with the homeless and section 8 housing residents who often need help with their Rx. The team here is very compassionate. The store sends texts to remind me when Rx are due. I have used this pharmacy many times without problem. One time they said not to wait as it would take a day to refill my Rx but then I got a text from them within 20mins of leaving the store saying it was ready. That was annoying but also good customer service, I guess! Right now they are calling a Rite Aid out of state where I picked up my last Rx on vacation. They are doing this for me so that they can now refill it in DC. So helpful!

How do they get so much stuff in one store. Living just a stone's throw from this CVS its been a lifesaver on multiple occasions. The manager will even take recommendations on what to carry--they know that they are a neighborhood convenience store and they cater to folks in the neighborhood. Great service and great staff--we are lucky to have this place in the neighborhood.
