My grandson, granddaughter and I stopped by Belk today, at Destin Commons. No one greeted us at the door. There were very few shoppers. Prices were extremely high for average clothes. Signs, all over the store, asked me to download the Belk app, for 50-percent off. I shouldn't have to give Belk my personal information to get sale prices. I bought nothing.

Don't bother coming here to shop if you want to get out of the heat. Probably just as hot inside with no breeze as it was outside. On the flip side of that coin walking around other stores they had doors open with fresh cool air. Seems like Belk can't afford ac.

Sales help and had more variety than other stores in the area. I went in looking for a pair of cotton shorts. They had some that I liked. Hard to find cotton pleated shorts anymore.

Jewelry department associate was so patient and showed me everything I wanted to see even tho she was getting busy.. I eventually bought this gorgeous Levian pendant

Went to grab some pants for work and saw a table with a 40% off sign... Nothing specific in it, just 40% off. Bought two pairs of pants from this table and it rang up at full price. Asked the associate "Clinton" if they were the 40% as stated... Seeing as a stack of the pants were on the same table. He said no, that's this specific item and pointed to some polo shirts. Then when I asked if he had a specific size, he didn't look and just said he could get it shipped free. It was slow... I was the only person in line. Should have went to Target. This is why department stores are dying, they don't bother to compete.
