Such a cute small bookstore that harkens back memories of small bookstores with wall to wall book shelves. The staff are friendly and eager to welcome you in and help. This is how bookstores are meant to be experienced. Their back patio is shred with a juice, smoothie place as well another coffee store. The patio is very welcoming to sit, drink, and read your purchased book. The interior is warmly lit highlighting the stars - books. It can get a bit stuffy with a lot of people inside, so best to come in a weekday where you are highly like to find the place lot more welcoming to wonder around and pick up your choice of reading pleasure. I found the brown paper wrapped mystery book section that's titled - A blind date with a book w/ just a couple lines that hint at what that book could be about. Very creative spin. Tombolo books is a must visit for book lovers.

Tombolo Books is my favorite Indie bookstore in Florida! The staff is always super kind and recommends the best reads. The events that are put on are phenomenal. They also host all kinds of book clubs which is amazing!

I walked in & immediately found about 10 books that I wanted to read. I spent the better part of an hour browsing & collecting my finds. There are several seats available to sit & relax, the staff were very friendly & helpful & there was a nice selection of blind date books. I left with 4 books (because I had a stern talk with myself regarding the amount of room available in my luggage for the trip home) & I'm very pleased with all of my selections. Can't wait to go back!

This book store is nestled in the perfect garden plaza. Designed so you could pick a story to read and then enjoy drinks from the coffee shop next door or food from a vegan cafe next to that.

Beautiful book store! Was recommended to me by a friend at work. Picked up a few books that were on my "want list". Will definitely go back again soon. Great selection of books and lovely staff!

They have an amazing well-curated book selection for all ages and interests. Kind and thoughtful staff who always have great book recommendations. Fabulous book clubs that meet monthly, which means plenty of time to finish the books.

Today we spent some time in a new bookstore in St. Petersburg Florida. My wife and I are on a "staycation" vacation this week and the only thing I wanted to do was explore some new bookstores near us. We were pleasantly surprised to find Tombolo books on central Avenue in St. Pete. We loved this cute little bookstore! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They took a great interest to try and get to us as customers and readers. I even found 2 new authors I hadn't read. They have many different types of books from local authors to mainstream authors. The store is very very clean and cozy!! And there is a black crow coffee shop right next door! Who's doesn't love coffee and books all in one spot?!! We will definitely visit Tombolo books again in the future. Thanks for the great afternoon and pleasant service. 😊📚💜

I finally made it to this wonderful bookstore. I’ve also made purchases online that were shipped to me so I was super thrilled to finally visit in-person. My online experience was so easy and received the books in record time with special attention to packaging. My in-person shopping was just as great. Lots of helpful staff. Shelves are labeled well and I always love personal recommendation sections from staff and others. Coffee shop next door is a perfect combination with an outdoor patio area for everyone to enjoy their coffee/treats and new books. Can’t wait to keep supporting this local bookstore.

Wonderful, diverse selection of books. The store is the perfect size and the books are well organized. There's also a nice selection of miscellaneous items, such as puzzles, notebooks, and the cutest pairs of book earrings. My husband and I purchased these great books, pictured below, and The Lost Apothecary is a signed edition! Tombolo actually has a bunch of signed copies of various books. Candice and staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely a perfect addition to the local businesses in St. Pete.
