Came here bc it has the cheapest gas in Atlanta. Pumps are new and cashier guy at night is cool as hell. Outside looks a bit raggedy and inside is very small but it's a nice little shop

I've worked in retail, so I'm a very patient and forgiving customer. I've had a bad experience almost every time I've stopped at this station, but every now and then I keep going back, usually to avoid going out of my way to find another station, or because I keep telling myself that all those other times were just flukes and surely they will have gotten their act together by now. I need to stop believing myself when I tell stupid lies like that. I just want to fill up my tank. That's all. It's not like I'm asking for any special treatment or service. Usually, at least half of the pumps are out of service, so I have to circle around and usually wait for an available pump. When I find one, it never accepts my credit card. Either the screen is broken and displays nothing at all, or it displays gibberish, or it just rejects my card and tells me to go inside. That's when the real stupid starts. The cashier on duty has told me, flat out in as many words, that his system is different from every other gas station on Earth and that he cannot authorize a pump from his console, and that I am not allowed to fill up my tank at this station. Unless I can tell him the exact amount that I want, I can't buy any gas at all. This is patently absurd, and it is obvious to me that he is an incompetent idiot who is lying to cover his inability to do his job. I don't know why I keep stopping at this station. I never manage to get any gas, and every time I do it I swear that I'm never stopping there again, but then a few weeks will go by and some situation will arise where I need gas and it would be pain in the ass to go somewhere else and my inner pathological optimist pipes up and says, "Well, maybe they've shot everyone who worked there in the head and hired brain-damaged monkeys instead, resulting in greatly improved service. It's worth a shot." It never is worth the shot.
