Im still trying to figure out how a 4 day rental is suppose to equal $928. Blows my mind. Area I traveled to flooded so the reroute in my drive added an hour. Apparently 1 hr late is $127. Tried to call in advance but no would answer the phones. I paid in advance and was told full coverage insurance was mandatory. After paying $391 in advance, I was asked to pay an additional $410 for deposit and insurance although I had insurance coverage. Just dont use these folks unless you want pricing shock at the counter.

I made a reservation on Tuesday for Friday. When I arrived they did not have a truck. They said I could come back Saturday to get a truck, but it would need to be returned by end of day Saturday or it would be an extra fee. That means I would have the truck for maybe four hours rather than the reserved overnight. Another customer in the store had the same issue. You cannot leave your car in the lot, so you have to arrange for a ride or park at a nearby business. I highly recommend using a different company.

I’ve been renting from budget for years and this was my first time at this Jimmy Carter location and I will NEVER be back. I booked a reservation online and went to pick up the car and it was filthy. Water bottles in the back seat, a lighter and stuff all in the carpet. I took pictures also. I told the girl working and she tried to argue it without even looking in the car! So she noted it on the inspection sheet along with the right side of the car looked like someone had hit something. When I left I noticed a knocking noise. So I went back. The girl working then tried to tell me she was going to write an accident claim because I drove off with it! I hadn’t even been gone 15minutes! I argued with her and she then called the tucker location to find another car. She wasn’t wearing a mask the whole time either but there are signs on the doors asking us customers to wear them. She had an attitude the whole time and was so careless. I will be shopping with enterprise for now on thanks to her and the manager that was working at the tucker location when we went to get the other car.

Reserved a car and took uber there to pick it up less than an hour later. When I arrived a person quickly came out and told me to not let the uber drive off as they had no more cars available for rent. Very disappointing experience.

Stay away from this place. After reservation I went to pick up my car I was ask for my debit card and she said was a deposit and I’d agree. I was ask for bank statements showing my address and I’d agree. I was ask for my insurance de la page showing my address and policy number and agree. She ask to call my insurance and I’d agree. After 20 min on hold with my insurance she ask the same questions that it was on my declaration page with my agent so she proceeded to ask my agent to email her the same declaration page witch he refuse as she already had it. At the point I told to forget the entire deal and give me my card and license. I’d had never seen so much scrutiny to rent rent a car.. PLEASE GO TO ENTERPRISE RENTAL SO MUCH EASIER TO DO A RENTAL. That’s where I’d end up going. Incident was on 2/14/2020

Horrible experience & even worse customer service. When I tried to pick up a vehicle after making a reservation I was notified that Budget had put me on a Do Not Rent List & after calling & emailing for 2 weeks. I was finally told that I was right & they had made a mistake when they put me on the Do Not Rent list but never an apology or an adjustment to my reservation which I was promised multiple times. They consistently gave me the runaround & directed me to send an email. Budget is not equipped with good customer service & even escalating the issue to a supervisor doesn't help.

Budget is the name of the company; I didn't realize that the quality of customer service would be "Low-Budget" quality..."no pun intended" I reserved a vehicle on 5/31 and was given a confirmation number for the reservation. When I arrived at this location on Jimmy Carter Blvd, the lady sitting behind the counter told me she didn't have the car I had reserved. She then went on to tell me I could rent an SUV, but it would cost more. When I told her I had reserved a Toyota corolla 2 hours earlier for a lower rate, she stated that she had just gotten my reservation a few minutes prior and she only had an SUV available. I asked her to honor the price quoted and she walked away from the counter. I asked her if they were a franchise store and she said yes; as she continued to walk from the counter. She then told me I should have called the store directly; that the call centers online mess up reservations all the time. I told her that it was very rude for her to walk away from a customer and not once had she said those magical words you expect to hear as a paying customer..."I'm sorry for your inconvenience." SHE NEVER UTTERED THOSE 5 KEY WORDS for the inconvenience I suffered. Poorest customer service ever. I will continue going to Hertz from now on. Hertz provided me to "Top Notch" customer service and had my car waiting for me when I arrived. Way to go Hertz! Zero star would be very appropriate, but it wasn't an option. Budget Rental, maybe you should consider raising your prices, you could then offer better pay and attract people who are more professional....including your franchisees.

Avoid at all costs. Shady company. Tried to put additional charges on my bill without asking- I caught it and had them removed from the receipt that I signed, but still had to call their customer service agent because the charges remained on my credit card. ALSO, I received the car with less than half a tank, and notified the attendant before leaving the lot- he told me to return the car with the same amount of gas, and wrote on my paperwork to document this. Well, I was charged $70 for returning it less than full, and customer service refused to refund me. Never again.

A few years ago, I had confirmed a reservation for a moving truck over the phone prior to my moving day. The employee confirmed my reservation and stated I was all set to go the following day. Upon arrival the next morning at the scheduled time, the receptionist greeted my friend and me and requested we sit and wait. After waiting 30 minutes with no follow up, I approached her and asked about the status of our truck. She stated all was good and asked that we continue to wait. My friend and I waited 10 more minutes before I approached her again as we were on a time crunch. The receptionist then proceeded to tell us that while we were reported on their current schedule to retrieve a specific truck, they had actually rented out that truck to a separate party and no other similar trucks were available. I was dumbfounded at this response, especially as she had previous opportunity to inform us of this and instead decided to waste our time. She then attempted to resolve the situation by saying she could make a "deal" and rent out an entirely different larger truck to us but it would require increased cost. I queried as to how this was a "deal" and she stated that was all they could do. My friend and I left the place and completed our moving successfully through a Uhaul a couple blocks away. This place had terrible customer service, as evidenced by their lack of organization, empathy, transparency, and integrity.
