We went for our first dinner here after rave reviews. I went on a forum looking for a special place to celebrate something huge (husbands promotion AND our 5 year anniversary!) and so many people suggested canyon Grill. I don’t know why. We arrived dressed up to this rustic restaurant. The host greeted and seated us at a table that was half covered in drops of water and being continuously dripped on by the overhead AC unit. The server approached, handed us a towel and gave a quick apology. Now most fancy places ask if you’re celebrating anything special and after seeing our nice bottle of champagne we brought with (it’s BYOB) and our outfits you’d think it was obvious but she didn’t mention anything and that’s fine, but again based on what others said we half expected it. We ordered the burrata and tomatoes app which came out super fast and the server wanted us to place our entree order. We asked if we could have a few mins because we were enjoying our leisurely celebratory meal and she forced us to order our entree right away as it’s “better for the staff that way.” Both of our meals were good, nothing spectacular, but good. Asked for a box for our leftovers and she plopped them on the table. Again a nice restaurant would usually box for you. We were definitely over dressed, it’s not a place to celebrate something big if you’re looking for a special location, and it’s definitely not worth the 45 minute drive we made from Chattanooga when there are so many better and nicer restaurants in town.

Hadn't been here in many years and was pleasantly surprised to find out it had increased it's seating capacity and the food was still amazing. I got the chicken piccata so yummy. I would go back for that! Great service, too.

Canyon Grill is always so consistent - the food is so fresh. I love that you can bring your own wine. They offer ice buckets and glasses. The wait staff are attentive and the location on Lookout mountain is such a pretty drive. If you haven't gone here yet, you are definitely missing out!!

Service was fine the low rating is entirely the fault of the kitchen and serving sizes. I ordered duck breast and my mother ordered red snapper I believe each was over 40 dollars. I was given one semiwarm medium-medium well duck breast. It wasn’t worth 20 dollars let alone 40. The skin was rubber and the care I expected from the price had not been taken to ensure crispy skin. For the price I expected an entire snapper but instead my mother received a 4ish oz filet that appeared to have been frozen at one point. The serving was tiny and both were absolutely mediocre but I’d still give three stars. What bothered me most was I was given broccoli when I paid for broccolini. Take broccolini off the menu if that’s not what your giving customers. Other dishes looked better the shrimp seemed like the way to go. Over all the food was a poor over priced experience. My friends and family were disappointed as they’ve enjoyed this place for years. I understand that times are tough after Covid but cutting corners will not make things better. Get it together.

We went on our anniversary. It was probably one of the best places we have eaten. I had red snapper with almonds. My wife had the scallops.

Excellent food. All the meats are cooked perfectly. The grilled items have a wonderful hint of smoke. We eat here every time we're in the area and it's consistently excellent.

Canyon Grill has been consistantly excellent for decades! Casual dining. I had a Dinner salad with Strawberries and feta, Chicken Piccata with white wine and capers, creamy mashed potatoes and

This restaurant immediately shot to the top of my list of favorite restaurants. Everything was outstanding. I got the pasta and the flavors were a perfect mix of basil, tomato, and cheese. Best pasta dish I've ever had. We went for a birthday dinner, a group of 7 and everyone was trying every dish because it was just one solid dish after another!

The service (waiter: Caleb) is amazing, and the food tastes GREAT. I ordered the Honey Almond Chicken and for dessert coconut cake. I was actually impressed with the food. Highly recommend. But... just a NOTE, they do NOT serve alcohol.
