Big Ma’s has some good cooks in their kitchen and the food here is always first rate. They offer hand-churned ice cream, too, which is one of the many attractions of this buffet-style, old-fashioned restaurant. The premises are a different story and are dated with mismatched tables and chairs and old equipment. are mismatched. The bathrooms could use some work, too. Some would find this nostalgic and be attracted to it, but I would have like to have seen the premises a bit cleaner and updated (I have this fear that if the restaurant in full view of the customers is not spotless then the kitchen that is hidden from view may be worse.)

By any standards, it's ok buffet food. By rural Georgia standards, it's great. Everyone in the place knew one another. Except for me. And everybody was looking at me like "boy, where are you from?"

Was really a nice place to eat. It's just a gas station / convenience store but in the back they have some tables and chairs and the best seafood bar I've probably seen even better than Red lobster! All-you-can-eat $23,99 + drink.

Big ma's has a very good buffet. They have the hottest fried chicken I've ever had. To be a small place the food is always fresh. After eating a good meal you can top it off with homemade ice cream.

This was our first trip here and we got there not long after the seafood bar opened. We quite enjoyed the food. Everything we sampled tasted quite fresh and tasty. I won't include everything we sampled, but just the highlights: There were salmon patties and devil crab that was of larger portions than any of the chain establishments. There were several variety of shrimp preparations, all tasty, including some huge boiled jumbo shrimp. There were fried oysters that were well prepared and not over cooked or too greasy. We were also impressed with the baked fish and the potato casserole. Dessert was homemade vanilla ice cream that we put on equally delicious homemade peach cobbler. We will definitely go back.
