Technician was running late, but did call to say he was on his way. I was not home, my 93 y.o. mother was home. Came home, she told me the dryer was not repaired; tech said it was the house outlet/wiring. Tech said the outlet was showing 120 not 240. Was charged over $120 for diagnostic and fuel cost. Called the certified electrician who had rewired the house 5 years ago. He came out, checked the outlet, wiring, and breaker box: everything was in working order. Cost of electrician inspection, $125. The problem is the dryer, which is still not working. (I suspect the 3 prong cord needs to be replaced.) The electrician is very well known and reputable. Something is wrong with Sears tech or his equipment. Sears owes me a refund or needs to come out and fix the dryer minus diagnostic fee (which was inaccurate). Identification of the problem began on Jun 23, 2022. Source of icing problem in freezer was identified and freezer door had to be replaced. Also identified problem with the refrigerator door hinge pin broken. Follow-up appointment scheduled by Sears for Jul 7 but on Jul 7 no tech showed up by the end of the day and there was no communication other than a text message the day before to confirm the appointment. Waited for Sears, but nothing. The part was delivered on Jul 11. I called Sears on Jul 12 and was told that because the part was not delivered before Jul 7 they did not schedule anyone for the repair; repair was rescheduled to Jul 21 (Sears chose the day/time and confirmation text message). After thinking about the service that was re-scheduled to Jul 21, I called on Jul 15 to follow-up about the refrigerator door but there is no way to actually talk to an agent so used chat to eventually get to an agent but the agent could not answer my question if the refrigerator door was included in the freezer door repair order. On Jul 21 waited for Sears Tech but it was a no show and no communication. On Jul 25, called Sears and was rescheduled to Aug 2 (Sears chose the date and sent text confirmation) to replace freezer and refrig door hinges. On Aug 2, waited all day and no tech showed up and no communication from anyone, so went to chat to try to find out what happened - no explanation, just reschedule to another date. On Aug 3, called Sears Home Warranty and was able to talk to a sales agent - asked agent to cancel contract immediately and refund the money for the new service contract, which he did. Sears used to be a very good service organization but not now. I WILL NOT DO APPLIANCE SERVICING WITH SEARS HOME SERVICES AND ITS PARENT COMPANY TransformCo AKA Transform SR Brands LLC. Be aware, based on my experience, their focus is not on customer service!!! Service: Freezer repair

* Thank you, A& E!! After losing 2 weeks waiting and living out of coolers -being treated rudely and then ignored by the first Am Home Shield assigned contractor, your service technicians came through for us. Sears has always been our favorite repair team. Very professional, first technician diagnosed & clearly communicated problems regarding our refrigerator and contacted AHS immediately to get authorization of repair and ordered parts while at our home, so that there wouldn't be a delay on next visit. Parts arrived during the next week while we were on a trip. Office called us ahead of scheduled appointments. Lina notified us when she was running behind on the scheduled repair date. She immediately got to work and, cleaned up the work area and cordially took the time to answer questions related to care and upkeep of appliance. She inquired if we needed maintenance as well, even though she still had 3 more service appointments that afternoon. We really appreciated her awesome service and work ethic! Mahalo!! Technician came because there was a picture of the locked condo door. NO call or text to tell me he was here. Cancelled my appointment with no contact. I think the service repair person just did a ditch and go! NOT Happy. To make things equally as bad Sears has no direct phone number to call to resolve this problem. I called 8 different Sears repair numbers and now I have 17 texts that tell me to connect to the link if I need help. The links refer me to one of those 8 phone numbers where when I finally select the right number choices they cannot contact my service repair person to return or make another appointment. I have spent hours to get someone to schedule me a new appointment. NEVER will I use Sears again. Service: Dishwasher repair
