Please give Anne a raise! She went above and beyond the call of duty and helped us tremendously. We were returning our rental car to the Hyatt and getting a taxi to take us to the airport. The taxi driver phoned us and said there was a big traffic jam and he wouldn't be able to pick us up in time to make our flight. We told our story to Anne and she made some phone calls and told us we could drive the rental car to the airport (the extra fee was actually less than the taxi rate) and gave us advice on the route to take. We arrived in a time to catch our flight. Thank you Anne!

Glad I reserved and prepaid for a car 6 months before our vacation as rental cars were already booked into January 2022 and current rates are double/triple what I paid. Car was fairly new and had no issues with the car itself. Make sure to check with your credit card company so your not billed twice.

If it weren’t for Annie at the Hyatt I would have to have given no stars. Annie was so kind and so helpful and saved the day! Unlike customer service when you call. We booked a 4 door car that would fit all our people and luggage, when we went to pick up they “upgraded” us to a 2 door mustang that we could not get our luggage in and could not fit our party in. Therefore we were stuck and could not get to our condo. Couldn’t even get an uber. Called customer service and he was very rude and said “well you could just cancel your reservation”, after telling me there were. O cars to rent on the whole island. Went back to the Hyatt and thank goodness Annie was there. She found us a car to fit all, she was even willing to give us her hotel car to drive to another location to get one. Very kind person. Thank you Annie! Avis you should promote her and you should get customer service people on the phone that actually do their jobs and aren’t so rude .

I reserved a car at Hyatt Poipu online. The car was successfully booked and I was receiving reminders to pick it up until the day prior. Imagine my surprise when I arrived at Hyatt to pick up my car just to realize that the entire hotel had been closed down due to covid for weeks. When I tried calling the help desk they were absolutely useless and the only option I was provided was to try booking at Lihue airport. I had to cancel my reservation at Poipu and I did finally go to the airport to rebook a car because that seemed the only viable option. No one has ever reached out to resolve the issue or compensate for 2 wasted holiday hours and $70 spent on taxi to fix Avis's system issues.

Ugh. Don't try calling to extend a rental. We had a car, and the first time we called, they wanted $900 to extend the rental nine days. We decided against that. Then we called to see how much to extend the rental until Monday(it was Saturday), they said $1,200. No rhyme or reason to anything when you're speaking with a real person. Just book everything online, we ended up getting a car online for right around $600.

If you need anything Avis will come through. The staff gave us some great tourist traps and then went above and beyond with recommendations that are not on the map. Hidden beaches. Local restaurant favorites that the locals enjoys. Wish 2017 wasn't so far off. Wish we could go this year and bring our kids. They've never been.
