We had an unexpected trip in to west vet for our sweet girl Marley. She had an accident up in the mountains and lost function of her back legs. From the front desk ladies getting us right in in the middle of the night to the technicians and the doctors we cannot thank you enough for the comfort and knowledge you provided us through the whole process. They allowed us in to see our sweet girl in the ICU daily and they were all so nice and always there ready to help and answer any questions we had. Wanted to send a special thank you to the neurologist Dr.Mooney. Seriously we are so thankful for you and your team for all your late night surgeries and coming in on your days off to work and check on our baby Marley. If only there was more people in the world like you this would be a much better place. Again thank you so much. Also Dr. Brandt thank you for all your help and keeping us up to date multiple times daily and for genuinely caring about Marley. And Jen the technician was awesome as well so caring and helpful y’all have an excellent team! Literally the entire hospital made this extremely hard time a little more bearable and we can’t say thank you enough! -Cody and family

Wonderful staff. As a first timer, with a life threatening problem with my dog, I really can't imagine anyone taking better care of my boy. The updates during the times I had to leave him were comforting and complete with notes from night crews and progress made. No one ever wants to have to use this kind of service, but I am really thankful for the people there and felt they were the best chance of his survival. It's not over yet, but as of now, he is still here with me.

On 9/17, I brought my senior rescue dog to WestVet very early in the morning for serious seizure activity. I called ahead to make sure they could get us in as I know they are short staffed for the number of cases they see. I want to say that all the staff we interacted with were incredibly kind and empathetic as we were told our sweet baby had very poor outcomes and euthanasia was recommended. I appreciated the kindness of the staff so much that day. I am writing this review with 1/5 stars because I emailed WestVet on 10/4 to let them know that it would be worth mentioning to check-in staff to not use nicknames for pet patients in front of the pet parents that might be used in the back of the clinic. Our dog was a puppy mill survivor, and for the first 6 years of her life, she didn't have a name. When we rescued her 2 years ago at the age of 12 as a mistreated owner surrender, we wanted to make sure she was beyond loved and spoiled in her golden years. Her name was Momo, and to hear the reception staff call to the back of the clinic saying the "seizure dog was here" as I held her tired and failing body in my arms is something that still saddens me almost a month later. On one of the saddest days of my life, I wanted this little dog who was so unloved and mistreated for 12 years of her life to matter. I hoped that by emailing WestVet about our experience, that they might share with staff that while nicknames are probably useful in the back of the clinic to keep track of pet patients, they can be very insensitive to use in front of pet parents who find themselves in an emergency situation with pets they care deeply for. I hope that another pet parent doesn't have to hear their pet referred to as a nickname for the condition they're in for, and instead, feels that their pet matters.

West Vet was so wonderful to me and my cats. There may be a wait depending on the time of day and/or other pet emergencies that walk in, but they have the best, most caring doctors and staff! My cat Sparta was gravely ill. Dr Ochoa quickly diagnosed him and started treatment. I will always remember the attention she gave Sparta and her encouraging words for me. I will always remember her incredible kindness. She gave me and Sparta more months of smiles, hugs, love and sunshine. I am so grateful to you Dr Ochoa. My other cat, Iota, developed a large abscess. Dr. Grigg was called. He was very nice and explained an incision and drainage was needed. He performed it that day. My cat made a full recovery! We are lucky to have a 24 hour animal emergency hospital in our area. Thank you West Vet!

We came home from a camping trip o find my poor cat like the first photo. His eye was completely swollen shut and he couldn't see out of it. We rushed him to west vet and even though, as the tech said, "every person in the valley was having a pet emergency tonight" they were amazing! We had our two small kids with us and the wait was long so they took him back and let us go home and wait where we were all comfortable. When they called they were super apologetic for being so behind, but i was just grateful for them taking him and taking good care of him. They thoroughly went over the plan of action and got my ok for everything. I truly felt like he was in good hands at west vet. I picked him up tonight and his eye already looks better. I left with clear discharge instructions and a plan to get him feeling better. I hope I never have to go to them again, because it's usually for something going wrong with the animals, but if I ever have another animal emergency-this is where I will go! Thank you west vet and Dr. Yanes! We really appreciate you!!!

I cannot say enough about the level of care we received at West Vet. Our 15 month old lab was very sick and was treated by the staff with the absolute upmost care. His case was slightly unique in that no one knew exactly what was going on with him or what was causing his seizures and they walked me through each of their steps and findings and what to expect with the testing he would go through. They never rushed me off the phone, I was always able to get my questions answered and they kept me up to date continually for the 4 days he was hospitalized. I truly believe he would have died had we not taken him here for care. I cannot recommend this clinic enough and will recommend them to anyone who may need a specialty clinic to take their pets to.

I was happily surprised with our experience here! My 7 month old puppy is a sock vacuum. He has had an intestinal blockage in the past, and we took him to be treated at All Valley in that case. They were fine. Today, I had a hunch he had another blockage. I called our normal vet and they recommended West Vet so we gave them a shot, and I’m glad we did! I called on the way there and they got me all signed in over the phone so they could take him straight back when I arrived. They followed a very similar treatment plan to what All Valley did, except it was HALF the cost and a lot more efficient. They called to update me about every 45 minutes or so, and everyone I spoke to was great and I could tell they genuinely cared for my pup. Crossing my fingers we won’t be needing emergency care again, but if we do, this is definitely where we’re going. Thank you for taking care of Murph!

Our experience with WestVet was absolutely amazing. We were so scared and worried when we suddenly found our dog could not walk or put weight in his hind legs. The staff immediately took him into their care and put our minds at ease by explaining everything thoroughly. The doctor spent 30 minutes on the phone with us prior to his surgery explaining absolutely everything in detail and answering our questions. We were incredibly impressed. The staff and the whole system at WestVet is very streamlined and organized, they over communicate and are always available for questions. To us it felt like it ran like a fine-tuned machine from checkin to discharge. Our dog is now walking again and back to his normal life after disc herniation surgery on two vertebrae. We are beyond happy with the care he received at WestVet and highly, highly recommend them!

Even though this is an emergency vet center, they have shown the most compassion for my dogs than my family vet. If I could, I would choose them as my regular vet facility. Recently I had to put my dog down at their facility. The doctor who completed the procedure assured me that my decision wasn't the incorrect one due to my girls condition. I appreciated her advising, and I know the procedure effected her as I heard her crying as she left the room. I know they cost more, but I'm willing to spend more for their guidance and compassion.

I honestly had a really positive experience. The doctors, technicians, and receptionists are all attentive and are doing their best under the circumstances. Thank you for making sure my kitty was taken care of. I appreciate the time, blood, sweat, tears, & everything else you all put into your work here. I know it’s not easy!
