Have had Beyond Media as an internet service provider for a year or more now, and the service is constantly down. They fail to give good notice of when they begin maintenance or that they are working on a solution for internet outages. It just goes down constantly, we have not gone a month without long or repeated service outages, and our internet speeds have only gotten slower since starting our service. I am confident that our speeds are being throttled. Please never buy service from Beyond Media. However, we are stuck with them as they are the best internet service provider in our area, which is a deep shame.

Internet service has not be up to par. For three weeks now, I have had very minimal service. Meaning: I’ve had no connection alot of nights. Or sometimes the internet service would just cut in and out all night. I emailed them and will email them again. I do NOT recommend this internet company. But this one is the only one I can use because I live in Iroquois, and no other companies can reach my area at all. So it is very unfortunate. I also pay $100 for the top plan and I dont even get service at least 75 percent of the time. They dont even bother with customer service. They dont even let us know what is going on. People have called and called and nothing has made any progress.

We turned to Beyond Media because they offered better speeds than Frontier. We live in a rural location where options are limited. It was decent at first, but then we ran into tower issues. We had a tech visit and he replaced everything in what was the equivalent of a new install. It worked Ok for a couple of weeks. Then we had tower issues again. Ever since then download speeds are completely random. Less than 2 mb down at times, maybe 8mb in other checks. It is completely unreliable for a decent online gaming experience. I can't connect on a game at less than 200 ping most of the time, even hard wired into our router. I will say customer service has been nice and understanding. It just isn't a good service for anything other than basic Internet and some streaming. It isn't a good service for online gaming, however. We will be going back to Frontier. The speeds are slower but more consistent. The connection doesn't bounce all over the place. It is what it is given the options where we live.

I cannot believe how poor our service has been. Started with them two months ago and have had maybe 7 days total of usable internet in those 60+ days. We are connected no problem but constant and I mean CONSTANT DNS issues with this ISP. Get a tech out and it will work for 48 hours. And when it works, it is great. Don't expect them to be prompt or punctual or work around any schedule you have, you must put your whole life on hold once a week to get 2 days of internet service.

We had been experiencing service drops every 15 minutes or so. Our connection would work for a few minutes and go back out again, over and over. We called in to have a technician come out and check the radio and to test our speeds. Our internet was only working for basic browsing and our speed tests showed a 6000ms ping with 1.4Mbps down and 0.02Mbps up. The technician set up the radio to burst up to 50Mbps down and 20Mbps up. This helped initially, but still ended up just as slow as before. Our router showed only a 70 percent uptime over the past two weeks. (any ISP knows this is unacceptable) We called again and a different technician was dispatched. This time the technician let us know that there was a tree obscuring the tower. The technician suggested we cut down the 60 foot tree and left. Great way to treat a customer. We ended up getting a partial bill credit at least. The third visit we had finally put them under enough pressure for them to climb the tower, change the radio and point us to a different tower. Third time is the charm! We were finally back online after fighting for 3 weeks with them. We saw speeds up to 40Mbps down until a couple hours after the technician left. It slowly crept us back down to 10 down and 2 up. $60/mo for a 10 down, 2 up connection is steep. Any other provider would give you at least 15 down and 5 up for that price or faster. I really do miss what they were before the buyout, especially since they no longer offer public static IP addresses. No more remote access to our security cameras or smart home devices. And customer service has gone far downhill. For those looking for internet in rural IL, beware!

Beyond Media is a joke, we in Indiana are excited if we get 5Mbps, when it goes all the way out don't count on the losers getting out here but once a week. We have approached day three no internet service thank you very much Beyond Media you are such a wonderful company[sarcasm in case you can't figure it out] To further this story we had ordered the 25 Mbps package when they came to Clarks Hill, Indiana. Up until last Thursday we had never had the 25, actually, we are happy if it is above 5Mbps. Last Thursday their equipment completely broke down. I am looking at the same broken internet on Tuesday, July 16 this is good customer service? July 17th it has been seven days no service, and expectations are running low that they will do anything today. We opted for the 25Mbps package and after two years it has never been met. We see this as a breach of contract, they did after the first year started charging us for the 10Mbps package which is a joke since we very seldom get 10Mbps. Here it is nearly Midnight on the July 19th, the technician showed up on the 18th and he had to come to the house three times. To get the internet working seems we have a problem in the city of Lafayette. Well, tonight at about 10:00 p.m. the internet crashed again. I for see them collecting their equipment from the street in front of the house.

Mediocre customer service on a good day. Women answering the phone in the office seem to forget they work for the customer. Edited to add that we find it interesting to see you find a way to blame the customer whenever you receive a negative review. And you did NOT work around my schedule to get a technician here! We were fully expected to rearrange out schedule to accommodate YOUR schedule. Your only saving grace is that your technician was polite and knowledgeable. He actually understands that customers come first, unlike the people in the office.

Just want to make sure everyone knows Beyond Media just did a fantastic job with customer service. I left a message via email last night and by 9 a.m. this morning I received a email and two phone calls about the issue and the problem resolved. Top notch operation. I have to say that Beyond Media has taken care of my internet problems. I now have the speeds I pay for at all times of the day. Evening and weekdays lag periods are gone. They sent technicians out within a day or two and all the problems have been resolved. Beyond Media is taking care of their customers and providing good internet access.

BEYOND MEDIA purchased our old Internet company. Our previous company gave us great reliable Internet service and incredible good customer service. BEYOND MEDIA has provided very poor quality service for six months in rural Indiana, yet continue to charge us more money than our previous Internet provider. Many customers in the tab Indiana area are very dissatisfied with the quality of service yet BEYOND MEDIA does not care to credit us for the poor service, or all the outages that we have experienced. Nine separate phone calls to the company president have not been returned. His robot response staff in the office, defend the owners profits but do not care about our lack of good service. Unless you are like us, with no other choices, do not choose BEYOND MEDIA. They do not care about the customers one bit. They only care about their job titles, their paychecks, and their profits. Customers are just a means for them to make their money
