Not only was I able to pick up the paint I selected the same day, the sales associate at Sherwin-Williams made me feel confident in my paint color selection by confirming where I was painting, lighting, etc. He also really helped me pick out a complimentary color for the area. A novice painter myself, I wasn't certain what items I needed to complete my job and he not only assisted me with this, but educated me on why I needed what I needed!

This was my first visit to the DeKalb Sherwin-Williams, as my local S-W store was low on stock for the concrete stain I needed. I found the DeKalb employee to be knowledgeable, helpful and *super* fast and efficient (thanks for that!!). For me, Sherwin-Williams' stain has proven to be more durable and longer-lasting than other brands, and I've pretty much switched to their products exclusively. Excellent service by the DeKalb S-W staff... highly recommended!

I wanted a paint that would look nice in my shop and be durable/washable. Whoever was helping us did not let us know that we had other options. He gave us the cheapest flat paint he could find without discussing any of the paint options. We still paid for it even though it wasn't what we asked for, because we had no idea and no proper assistance. After we painted a small section, it was clear this wasn't going to work. It looked and felt like chalk. I want my shop to look nicer than that. I went back this morning and explained the situation to the manager. I asked if I could exchange the paint and pay the difference of what I actually wanted. He continued to say no and that it wasn't possible and that I had to spend more money on top of what I didn't want to begin with because I was mislead. I returned with my coworker hours later and he explained the situation the same way I did to the manager in the morning. The manager was apologizing and sympathetic towards my coworker and said that it was ok to exchange the paint. The manager kept repeating how it was a shame we did not receive better service from the other worker, who is the assistant manager. He kept apologizing to my male coworker, and seemed to forget the way he treated me this morning. We had the paint exchanged after I brought my coworker to explain the situation. I paid the difference which was what I originally asked for in the morning, but for some reason I couldn't do until I brought my coworker. It was frustrating to experience as a business owner trying to invest into a quality and custom shop. I didn't receive any help early on that would've avoided all of this and I was treated unfairly because I had to bring a male coworker to have someone finally listen.

My business has been ordering a lot of buckets of paint from this store lately, and everyone has been extremely helpful in all parts of the process. Whether I'm ordering it over the phone and having it delivered (sometimes as soon as right away), or if I pick it up in the store myself, I've never had anything less than a great experience. They've also been extremely helpful when we need more product than they had in stock. Roberto has reached out to other stores for us to get all of the paint we need, and to get it quickly. Chris has also been just the most friendly guy and has amazing customer service. All in, this is a wonderful store, and I am happy to recommend them to anyone!
