Everytime I go here, I show up needing help. Today Ellie helped me out and she was AMAZING. She got me the perfect match and even went out of her way to help me with the rest of my purchase. It's always great to have good service and I've never had anything less than the best at this location.

This store was absolutely filthy. The floor had smashed lipstick on it, the shelves were incredibly dusty, and all the counters for make up application had old makeup caked all over them. I went into the store to have someone help me color match a few different products and I felt grossed out even try anything on. Aside from one staff member who was friendly, I would not recommend this store to anyone. In a time where Cleanliness should be most important, I can’t imagine this store having been cleaned in the last month. It was disgusting!

Selection is great and all, but what deters me from coming to this location is the staff. They're rude, don't say thank you, frankly they don't even greet you when you walk into the store. No one offered any assitance and all the staff at the cashiers were the rudest out of all of them. I will definitely be going to the Mundelein location over this one next time.

I used to enjoy shopping at this location, up until recently. When I walked in Noone was there to greet, literally all the employees were talking amongst themselves huddled up in the corner. No one came up to me and asked if I needed help. I walked past the employees who were chatting away for I needed a new foundation and it seemed like they were doing me a favor by talking to me😏 I saw they have Chanel there and the people promoting Chanel didn’t even acknowledge me. I stood there for a few minutes hooding they would help me find their hydrating mask but they just side eyed me. I will be doing my shopping at macys and online to avoid their lack of work ethic. The cashier didn’t seem to know about the point system Ulta uses. Didn’t even bother to look my info up to pay with my Ulta credit card. Overall experience, horrible I sort of felt discriminated against.

The customer service is not it at all. Almost everytime I come in, I never get greeted and very rarely does anyone comes to me and ask if I need help with anything. The last time I was there a week ago, when I was checking out I said hello to the cashier but she never said hello back just "what's your phone number". Well hello to you too 🙄. It's not very welcoming and even my mom hates coming here for that reason. I

I ordered an online order for store pick-up. I, not knowingly, arrived 12 mins after there store was closed! There staff was up front as I walked up, I knocked on the door & asked if they were closed & if they would still be able to give me my online order. One girl was talking but I couldn’t really hear or understand here from inside! Basically, all the staff ignored me, I knocked again to get their attention & they were like basically turning their backs so they didn’t have to address me or the situation. I asked if they could get a manager & all the staff then walked to the back of the store away from where I could see. I called the Ulta Headquarters to have them contact the store to see if they would make an exception since, while I realize I showed up late, like the least you can do is get a manager & address it so a customer understands why you aren’t able to accommodate them. The lack of professionalism & for your staff to blatantly ignore your consumer & be rude to them is unacceptable. I will pick up my order & I will not ever again step foot in a place that allows their staff to act like they are better than whoever is on the other side of that door. Keep in mind, those people you are so blantently ignoring, are the people keeping you employed.

Been here twice as a male customer as if it matters 2022 y’all but anyway. Employees I have seen so far have been extremely helpful, always a helping hand even on a busier day. Would like some more recommendations and tips along the way. Anything I have asked about I have received ample information though. Store is huge, I’m new to all of it. Only discovered the second Half so far. They carry some Cetaphil for people with eczema, I would like to see more of the basic line. Very nice and clean place as well. Bright, a little daunting at first with so many brands and offerings. Nothing is really short here (except for me), and if you can’t find something you can find something else relatively close to or equal to what you are looking for. Prices you can’t beat. Males, men, do not be intimidated by anything in the store. Ask, and learn. It’s pigment. It might have a cute box or label. But you can use it too. It’s ok to take care of oneself and feel confident about oneself especially after this pandemic. Thank you for allowing me to get my confidence back girls. Great business 10/10.

I got my hair done in the salon with Nicole and I'm over the moon about it. Nicole was great to work with. I did a massive change with my hair color and length and Nicole talked me through the entire experience. She gave me tips on how to properly care for my new hair color and its been a week and I'm still obsessed with my hair. All the rest of the staff members were extremely nice and helpful.

I love my stylist, Kelly, who is also the Salon Manager here at Ulta in Gurnee. I highly recommend her because she is incredibly talented and truly cares about her clients. I have been seeing her for several years, and I keep coming back because, first and foremost, my hair cut and color is always beautiful, clean and consistent. I know what I like and I like what I know. My natural hair-color is so blah and the highlights add dimension and glow. I get so many compliments. But even one time, we tried something different with my bangs and I went home and wasn't happy...so I asked to come back and she gladly reshaped my cut to make it just right! Kelly puts her clients first and truly cares about delivering exceptional service. As a person, Kelly is very kind and friendly, witty and interesting, and a good listener! I enjoy seeing her on a personal level as much as I enjoy getting my hair done. Admittedly, I think Ulta services are probably pricier than other salons, but I make room in the budget because for the quality of my service from Kelly and the quality of the Redken products she uses, it's well worth the cost.
