If you're looking for a local bar, that isn't fancy, this is the place. Good spot to wait for the Metra or Amtrak trains as it is across the street from the train station. They've remodeled the place during the Pandemic and it's fabulous. Also they have a fantastic trivia show on Tuesday nights.

The color of worn asphalt. The number 6. The smell of water. The waddle of possums. These are not amongst this world’s finest experiences. Still, we need roads and six and water and the foraging marsupials. And we need Ridgewood Liquor Store & Tap. Without it, the world would seem incomplete.

Dingy and very dated early (70's)bar with cigarette smoke smell filled the entire place. I guess they never replaced the HVAC system after going nonsmoking. I ordered an Amaretto Stone Sour. It was okay, but never going back because of the smell.

Nice friendly old neighborhood bar. Live music was great. The lead singer Tom Cetera sounded so soulful. Truely a wonderful voice. The owner of Ridgewood tap was very pleasant and created a fun night.

Total dive complete with 70's plaid carpet and Hamms wall sconces. The locals are hilarious including myself! Never know what kind of show you might get at the Ridge!

I love this place!! It's a relaxing, non judgemental, fun kind of bar. Great beer selection with lots of craft beers if you're in the mood. Specials every day, and pizza or snacks when you get hungry. The bartenders are amazing, and everyone is friendly. Drove all the way from Porter County to check this place out, definitely worth the drive!!
