I took classes through the Cooking Skills Academy for years, and really enjoyed myself. After it closed, I was so bummed, but thrilled once they opened up under new management. One of the negatives is that the sharing of the recipes has changed. You used to receive the recipe during class. Now, the recipe is supposed to be emailed to you after class. I took a class in January 2022 that I still haven't received the recipe for. I have contacted management several times, and I kept being promised it was to be sent out soon, and now it's to the point that they don't answer my emails. Chef Alex is really GREAT, but, if you're not given the recipe, it's hard to practice and enjoy what you learned during class.

We attended the Southern Comfort Foods class. I expected a higher quality of ingredients. We used canned green beans, canned sweet potatoes and Velveeta Cheese. The chicken was nothing other than a chicken roasted with a spice rub. There was no camera above the cook top the instructor was using so you couldn't see color or texture of what he was cooking. We did have fun because of the group I was with, but I did not learn anything.

Always recommend. A must add to any body's bucket list! Even if it's just once, this is an excellent experience to share with a friend, partner, or co-workers. All equipment and ingredients provided. I've taken this class several times. They have a diverse catalog of cooking classes. Both chefs are great, insightful cooking instructors. They provide hands on cooking assistance and great cooking advice. No worries, with them in the room your dish will always come out perfect and super delicious! No matter the dish or the day, you will always come out a bit more knowledge after any of Cooking Class Academy's classes.

Chef Alex was fantastic! He is the new chef helping Cooking Skills Academy reopen and he is the BEST one we've had yet. He is knowledgeable and communicates effectively. He was very prepared and answered all of our questions. We enjoyed the knife skills class. We are experienced home cooks and learned a lot. We enjoyed the appetizer of melon with hibiscus sauce, the spring rolls with chili garlic sauce, and loved the curry. Great experience! Can't wait for the next class!

GREAT FOR DATE NIGHTS, FRIEND NIGHTS, AND CORPORATE OUTINGS!! I have been an active participant in these classes for over 2 years. There isn't a class I have not taken. Let me tell you about why I can't recommend this place enough. First of all it's fun, really fun. You get small 12-20 people (estimated) classes (2 people per station) that allow you direct access to world class chefs. Even though classes are taught by master chefs, they make you feel at home regardless of your skill level. They truly believe all are welcome. The classes run for 2-3 hours depending on the class, and you make 2-3 meals, so you absolutely get what you pay for. Don't worry if you get full, there are doggy bags and the recipes you've made to go. The small environment is not only spacious and safe during these times, but gives each table a chance to ask questions one on one with the chef. Diversity. Recently new owners took over, and they are committed to expanding what type of classes there are. Sure you get the normal comfort food, Italian, and French cooking classes, but now you get expanded selections and I highly recommend the Korean BBQ class. It's BYOB. Cracking open a bottle of wine or a glass of your favorite beer is enjoyable and allows for a sense of community amongst participants. By the end of the night, don't be surprised if each table is laughing and joking as a group. There is a reason classes fill up so quickly, because after your first session, you will be hooked! It really is a fun experience, and one definitely not to be missed regardless of the occasion!

We enjoyed the instrucional class to find new skills and recipes. It was a great date evening. The food was excellent and we had lots of left overs. We would definitely attend another class and recommend to people we know.

This place is up and running again and we couldn't be happier! We recently took the Japanese Autumn Adventure cooking class with Chef Alex. We made a delicious and easy meal and Chef Alex made the class so much fun! No stress here! Abbey (who runs the place now) is so sweet and accommodating - she's trying her hardest to get this place going again! She made it so easy to sign up for class and answered every one of our questions. We are so thrilled that it's back! Looking forward to taking many more classes.

Went to CSA last night with my wife. We went for the "Japanese Autumn Adventure". Chef Alex was there presenting. Not only was this something new for my wife and I we just had a great time while we were there. What were prepared was something we would have never done on our own or known how to prepare it anyway. Chef Alex not only did that he puts it into a presentation that just becomes a lot of fun in the process! Excellent time while we were there and would recommend this to everyone!

Took a group of High School kids and had a excellent time, The teens learned how to make different Sauces and homemade Pasta after watching the Chef instructor and given a really nice selection of fresh incredients in which to make them with. The instructor was available for any questions to help the students as they were competing to complete their meals within about 22 minutes. I was really really impressed how quickly the teens took what they were taught and made some great Pasta dishes where as us adults made a decent sauce but we need to really work on are fresh pasta skills but it is truly fun. Also don't be confused when you arrive as the Design First shares the same entrance as the School🙃
