Dr Jennifer Swoyer was horrible to me! She understood how young and uneducated I was about the kind of health issues I was having and made the choice to ignore the symptoms I told her I was having. I ended up being rushed by an ambulance to a different, closer hospital and needing a $22,000 surgery. This could have been prevented! "we treat you like our own" is not the moto La Grange Family Center should be using.

I went in to have my blood tested to find out if I have a celiac (gluten) allergy. I made this very clear and explained how it runs in my family and how everyone is getting tested since my uncle found out last year. I also added in conversation that I do not know my blood type, and that when they test my blood for celiac it would be nice if they could tell my my blood type. They proceeded to give me the blood test. Then, the next week they called and told me my blood type and that’s it. They did not test for celiac, and when I asked they refused a refund and said that I would have to pay for a second visit if I would like to know if I am celiac. Essentially, this doctor will not admit if they make a mistake and you will pay the price. Dr. Patel made the mistake. Jane the Practice manager refused to admit the mistake and refused the refund.

I've been a patient of Dr. Lin's for 10+ years. During this time, I can truly say that Dr. Lin is very professional, personable, knowledgeable and really takes her time to listen to her patients. When I've needed an emergency call with her, she's made herself available after hours to reach back out to me. We work together as a team with her asking a lot of questions and carefully listening to my responses prior to making decisions regarding my health. Dr. Lin's approach is more centered around patient needs rather than moving the patient out the door without taking time out to show that she's sincere and compassionate about her chosen profession. I cannot say enough as to how much I appreciate her assistant Abbey. Abbey is really on the ball and compliments Dr. Lin well. When Abbey says she's going to call you back she does and does so with answers and directives per Dr. Lin - I love her upbeat personality and sprit. She's definitely someone I'm happy to see on staff at the Family Medical Center of Lagrange.

I have been a patient of Dr. Daniel Chen for 13 years. He is a great doctor! The reason I am not giving 5 stars is because there has been a negative change with some of reception and nurse staff. Nurse Sarah come back! You were excellent and so kind! I highly recommend Dr. Daniel Chen! He is the best!!!

Family Medical Center of LaGrange lost a portion of my medical records. I have a significant medical issue which will require surgery - all records pertaining to my diagnosis, past and continued treatment, physical therapy, surgeon, and more are lost/gone/misplaced. The advice I have received from doctor, nurse, and records is to contact each provider myself to have records sent back to them. When trying to resolve this issue myself - there are no return phone calls or return e-mails from Family Medical Center of LaGrange- I advised Dr. Robertson of this when I went to see him one day. I have been going to Family Medical Center of LaGrange for years and loved both Dr. Sauerberg and Sarah, his nurse- the both of them were absolutely fabulous and I cannot say enough good things about them. However, he retired and this practice is not succeeding in my opinion. It is never ok to lose a patient's records and in addition to not fix the issue at hand. Especially when there are health issues presenting now and the doctor cannot assist because there are no records of your diagnosis even existing. I am changing practices and strongly encourage others to be cognizant of this issue with your health records shall you chose to stay at this practice. Stay safe and well.

The woman working the front desk are without a fail always unfriendly. I feel extremely uncomfortable walking in for a doctors appointment every time. When you walk in theres a sign that says please wait here and while waiting there in their field of view they were chatting about lunch and how their weekend was instead of acknowledging that someone had stepped in. When you talk to them they constantly roll their eyes. This rating is strictly about the woman at the front desk. Everyone else is very kind and friendly.

I have been calling the nurse and leaving messages for 2 days with no call backs. When I finally got a hold of someone to schedule an appointment, I waited over an hour just to get into an exam room. I have been a patient here for over 20 years. I feel that the service and bedside manner has really fell by the wayside. I get that a Dr.'s office can get busy, but then hire more staff, sched less appointments (don't know how feasible that could be) or at least apologize for the wait. ...but the no call back for going on 3 days really bugs me still.

Lagrange Medical center handles all my D.O.T. Physicals and drug testing needs for over 15 years. Never an issue, and always professional. The doctors, nurses and office staff are great, with communicating issues and concerns. There able to help me and my business stay compliant with D.O.T. Regulations. I’d refer Lagrange medical to anyone that is need of Primary doctor or D.O.T. Physician.

This place is terrible. Currently looking for a new doctor. I ruptured my Achilles and it took them three days to call me back. My husband has a cough and pin in his ribs. He wanted to get an appointment, it’s been almost 72 hours and no one has even called him back to schedule his appointment. They also told a friend she has cancer over the phone. Do yourself a favor and don’t come here

I have been a patient of Dr. Sauerberg for 38 years. He delivered me and my younger brother. I have always felt well taken care of by him and the other doctors on staff. I now take my children to see the doctors at his practice. I usually see Dr. Chen for them now, who is wonderful and attentive and takes the time to answer any questions I have. He also has a great bedside manner with me and my 6 and 3 year old. Dr. Robertson is the only doctor I do not like on this staff and I have see everyone on staff at some point. His bedside manner is terrible and he has no patience with my boys. I feel like he doesn't really want to see kids when I have had the unfortunate experience of taking my boys to see him. I only see him if he is the only doctor available because I feel he is rude and short with me and my kids. Dr. Lin, Dr. Dupont, Dr. Chen and Dr. Sauerberg are great though
