Possibly the most poorly run pharmacy I have ever experienced. Rude, poorly staffed, no eye contact, called the manager and yet, nothing changed. I would not recommend this particular pharmacy. I have changed my pharmacy to Sears on Madison.

Worst experience ever. Made a 5:20 appointment to get a shot the day previously. They had two lines, one for Rx the other for shot check in. I showed up on time and walked up to the shot check in counter. They then told me to get in the end of the RX line. This line was at least 8 deep. 70 minutes later we left the store. The line was 10-12 deep when we left. So many had to wait over an hour to pick up an RX or wait an hour for the set up "Appointment " for a shot. Just crazy. There is also a 36" TV at the RX counter as a display of yourself picking up an RX or waiting for a shot. Not Cool.

I wish I could give zero stars. I’ve never had a worse pharmacy experience! First off, they never answer the phone…you get put on hold and then forwarded to a survey…and then hung up on! Ridiculous. So, I show up there at 4pm, and the line for the pharmacy is an aisle deep. I wait for 30 minutes, and am told that my prescription will be ready after 5 pm. I ask if I can pick it up the next day, and the tech says yes. I show up at 9:30am the next morning, and the line for the pharmacy is 1/2 an aisle deep already. I wait 15 mins, ask for my prescription, and the tech disappears for a while, returns, and tells me they can’t fill it until 3 days later. What??!!!! The whole situation was insane. DO NOT use this pharmacy. Terrible customer service and complete incompetence.

Impossible to get someone to answer the phone at the pharmacy. Have called 7 times since yesterday trying to refill my fairly common RX which is a controlled substance so I have to call for them to fill up the script on file. I get put on hold for 20+ mins only to get hung up on or hang up myself because I don’t have all day to wait on the phone with Walgreens. Mind you I’m calling AT WORK. You can’t let a pharmacy be so understaffed, they’re a necessary service. Give your pharm techs a raise and hire more and increase the starting salary. Walgreens’ inability to retain workers and pay them sufficient wages results in people not getting their necessary prescriptions. And I only recently moved to OP from another suburb and switched to the Walgreens on Madison and my old Walgreens pharmacy had the same problems too. This is a company wide problem. We literally NEED our medicine. Edit: had to call corporate and leave a complaint and have them transfer me to the store to ask for the manager to get transferred to the pharmacy. Only for them to tell me my medicine is out of stock. Don’t use this pharmacy if you’re a busy person, they don’t care about your time

We’re in the middle of a deadly pandemic and we’ve entrusted this store to fill out prescriptions in a manner that doesn’t affect our health but you could take a white glove and rub all over and around the register, keyboard and counter and you’ll pick up plenty of filth and dust bunnies with long hair all over their counter equipment! I couldn’t believe my eyes. Walgreens needs to clean up because their pharmacy counter and equipment is pure filth! I like handling business at this store but the store isn’t being thoroughly cleaned. It doesn’t take but a few seconds to pull a Clorox wipe out and thoroughly wipe the hair, dust bunnies and filth from the counters and equipment!
