I really wish I had a better experience at Ken's Auto Service. I didn't know until I got there and had already arranged a pick-up that they had a service that would drive you home if you were within 8 miles - this is an awesome service and was used to pick the car up - just as a first time customer, a heads up would have been great! I went into Ken's with 2 specific problems, my air conditioning and my tie sensor lights - the lights I had tried to fix at 2 different places previously. I left with both of these still broken and with the knowledge my transmission fluid needed replaced. The only thing done was an oil change I didn't really need yet. A place some of the blame on my husband, who the technicians spoke to instead of me about the issues after they looked it over - but I am still frustrated that I left with my car in the same condition. Ken's was the best rated place around and I really don't know where to turn to next.

Visited this establishment for the first time the other day and had work done on the Blue Lion (don't judge me). They did everything I asked and then some. The pricing was reasonable and they worked with me. My interaction over the phone with the young lady, great. She was direct, quick, and professional. In person, the gentleman took his time to hear me out (as I can be a bit long winded) and answered my questions as well as addressed my concerns. Very professional in my opinion. We found some common ground, had some laughs, and shook hands. The mechanic, from my understanding, gave some advice on what's needed in the future. Not out of the ordinary but these people met all of my standards. I will be returning for future repairs.

A few words come to mind. Honest, Partnership. When i was little i saw the quality relationship my Dad had with the local Service Station. Throughout my life ii have from time to time found an auto service shop that that earns that same feal and quality commitment. Ken’s provides this service and feeling. I had a very good experience with my car inspection. The technician sent me a report with pictures. Told me about a few minor things to keep a watch on nothing urgent. Very friendly awesome shuttle service to home & back. The waiting room very clean & organized. I asked for a few recommendations for other services. They promptly looked up the information for me. Very pleased with the professionalism and honesty of this shop. I went in thinking it was an alternator and expecting major $$$, the tech said let's check before we go there. Bad battery and I even had the proof to show AutoZone. Plus, I was really impressed with the mobile link they sent me to show the results even before I picked up the car. Ken's Auto Service is adequate on most of their services but they charge significantly more than their competitors based on the market. Shop around. I know they claim that they only use OEM parts and follow manufacturers guidelines for repairs and maintenance but so do a lot of other places. Their quoted hourly labor charges are on the high side but not totally out of line. But it seems they charge about 30-50% more overall than their competitors and then try to explain that what they do is "better" and more consistent with what the manufacturers require -- that is disputable especially on a 15-year old car. Here is an example, I had them replace one brake hose on one wheel on a 2005 Escape. They charged me $300 for something that took less than 30 minutes which included $150 for parts (aftermarket part was $30 at NAPA since the car was too old for OEM and a couple of ounces of brake fluid). They then wanted around $600 to do the other three wheels (I said no). I spent around $60 for three hoses, bled the brakes and it took me less than an hour (with one floor jack). This is just one example and don't get me started on their $100+ oil changes and "21-point" inspections which mainly entails topping off the fluids (once again, claiming that it is better).... They must be successful since they always seem busy and they seem like good people but do yourself a favor and do a little research first.

Very friendly and professional staff. Resolved my emissions issue and I was able to get my vehicle registered on time. Wonderful Experience! I live in N. E. Colorado and usually do the maintenance on my mother's car, but sometimes it's hard to get to Aurora to do so. Mom had a coupon and both agreed to give a try. Everyone is very friendly, upfront and honest! Would highly recommend them to anyone, and we will be repeat customers!
