I had a couple items to ship from Pittsburg KS to Oregon. The original package I had picked out would have cost me nearly $30 to ship two smaller items, and Deidra (the worker) suggested she might have something for me that'd work for a bit cheaper! Sure enough, it brought my shipping cost down to $9 and she was SO helpful. She helped me pack up the package correctly and securely, and made it so easy and smooth; not to mention, she was honestly one of the nicest people I've ever met. She welcomed me the second I walked in and was immediately so friendly and just simply wanted to help me! I wished I still lived here in Pittsburg, because where I live now, the post office people are extremely rude and unhelpful most of the time; so to have this experience with Deidra today totally made my day! She deserves a promotion, ha!!

Go here daily as both a business and personal customer. The knowledgeable staff and customer service is beyond any other USPS location I have used! I see them deal with customers upset about things they have literally no control over on a daily basis and applaud their cool demeanor. Keep it up guys and gals!

This rating goes out to Deidra. Because she does not know the meaning of customer service. I went to the post office in need of help with locating a package, unsure of where it may be, I was hoping that customer service would provide me with some clarity. Whether or not it was there, I just wanted to know. Deidra, with less than adequate nonverbals and tone, made me feel as if I was wasting her time by asking for help. Honey (as she likes to say), if you have a problem with doing your job, don’t waste the customer’s time with your negative attitude. I write this review not just in my name, but in my friend’s name, who has also experienced the same type of service when being attended to by Deidra.

If you want a reliable delivery service go with ups or fed ex. USPS misrouted my package and caused a 3 day delay in me receiving it which was time sensitive. Stay clear of the postal service they are very unreliable!!!

Our mail always gets mixed up with neighbors or lost on Saturdays. This last ordeal I could not file a claim because the sender did not insure. The postman argued that he DID, in fact, deliver the package -- and a lady at the post office tried to justify the situation by saying, "we get in a hurry and this stuff happens." If you can't read mail, you should not work at the post office... How can one argue with anything government nowadays, anyway. I've never had problems my whole life except at this particular address.

Friendly service every time. Whomever does the deliveries to my house though had given me the wrong mail and delivered my mail to the wrong house 4 times this year. I'm not pleased that mail is not picked up unless there is mail to deliver.

So I screwed up and put the wrong street address on my order. The nice lady at the desk wrote down my name and number with the correct address telling the people in the back to watch out for it. I was unsure it would work, especially when I arrived this morning to pick it up and it was extremely busy. It is the holidays after all and veterans day was Saturday. They were loaded with packages and I didn't want to add to the pressure. An hour later I got a call from a number I didn't recognize. It was the nice lady from behind the counter asking me if I wanted to pick up that package now or let the carrier drop it off. I was so pleased to see everything there and in good shape. Despite how stressed they must have been they still remembered me in the midst of mayhem. I feel sorry for anyone has had bad service. Amazon has put a lot of pressure on the USPS in recent years, hopefully with drones that will change. Also remember that most people who want to complain are willing to passively post here instead, so anyone unsure about this post please acknowledge that these cases are far between and usually fixed eventually. They're still people working a stressful, and sometimes dangerous job; give them a break for being a little late.

More times than I can count the postman has not picked up my outgoing envelopes. This is thoroughly frustrating and can result in problems for me when my mail was due to leave on that day. Coming home at the end of the day to find that my outgoing mail is still in the mailbox is enough to make my blood boil. Apparently some of the postmen they hire do not check mailboxes at all, they just deliver what they have in their bag then go back to their vehicle. It's ridiculous. I've even seen them IGNORE my outgoing mail while they put mail into my mailbox.

Nothing. I called and said I was wondering if a package I was expecting was there. I wasn't even asked who I was or anything and was given an attitude of "Well do you have a name? What's your address? Who are you?" Someone needs to teach the people who answer the phones to politely ask who someone is to find their package.
