Had the worst experience on 8/19. Went in to get my battery checked and was told I needed a replacement, which was done. Upon installation, several lights appeared on my dash and instead of checking the connections on my battery, manager Jacob had me reset my steering and cleared all the lights. Jacob assured me this was normal for Volkswagens, which I have since been told is not the case (by Shelbyville tech). After going home, my car was unable to start, and it took over a day for someone to come take a look, as this location had their phones off. Someone from the Shelbyville Rd location was able to come look on 8/21 and let me know that they did not properly attach the connection cable to the battery AND my car needed an AGM battery which they did not install. Shelbyville tech installed new AGM battery. These "managers" and techs do not know what they are doing and hopefully they dont mess up your car/weekend as well. UPDATE - have been trying to get a refund since I created my case on 8/20. The area manager Justin is apparently the only person at Valvoline who can approve this and I have been waiting on a call from him since. Contacted customer care again 8/26 and they put another request for him to contact me. Was told someone tried calling me 8/22 but that's simply not true. Constant run arounds and impossible to get a hold of who you need! Service: Battery

A worker broke the dipstick off into the motor. Says it happens all the time so I feel bad for all the other people that don’t know and had it happen to them. Learn how to train your workers on the right way to pull a dipstick out. It’s the simplest thing to do.

Everytime I go here the mechanics are friendly, and courteous with helpful information. If they can't take care of a problem, they recommend somewhere else locally that can. I've never had a bad experience.

Exceptional service. Clean, professional, and courteous. I usually change my own oil, but I stripped a drain plug and so brought it in for some help. I was totally blown away by the care and attention to detail these guys provide. Not your average oil change place, where they spend the whole time selling you air filters, cabin filters etc. There were screens to watch the work being done, every step explained, masks and contactless payment (Covid times) - plus got me in and out in under 15 minutes. I highly recommend this business!

Staff were friendly and thoughtful to the point to award me a discount I had received by mail but didn't have with me. My car requires 8.5 pints of synthetic oil so an oil change can be pricey. I was fortunate to have no wait. I had called the previous day to make sure they had the oil filter required for my model car. My car has a skid plate which can be troublesome to remove and replace but this location Valvoline has an ingenious device to withdraw by suction tube oil from the engine without need to remove the skid plate. Quick, friendly, efficient service!
