I arrived at 12:55 to attempt to have someone removed from a joint account, that person arrived shortly after. At 1:15 someone who had an appointment at 1:00 (and was clearly late) arrived. At 1:20 the single teller asked me to go after the 1:00 appointment people, despite them being late. I had to use the restroom bc I'm pregnant and she stated I couldn't bc of COVID, so I had to leave to use the restroom at a nearby gas station. When I came back, they had already moved on to another customer that came in after all of us. I understand the restroom situation, and that since I wasn't there, that they moved past me. The only issue I have is that CLEARLY this location is understaffed. All of this mess could have been avoided if they had simply had one other banker present. From a customer service perspective, this was an unnecessarily obnoxious experience. I ended up waiting an hour for service when, had there been one other banker, they would have been available right away. ~Erin

Pulled up to the business banking behind a car at 11:28. The green open light was on. The person in front of me was having a long conversation with someone on the bank. When that car pulled off, the person in the bank closed the shades clearly seeing me on line. The worst of it is that I am not a stranger to the tellers. I visit to drop off my business deposits everyday except Sundays. Shame on the teller for this thoughtless gesture. Glenn ~Glenn

My boyfriend and I just had to go in to get a Cashier’s check, and the young woman who was helping us was very sweet, but she accidentally got the amount wrong. I let her know and she was very apologetic and fixed it immediately, but unfortunately during the process, another PNC employee, HEATHER, came and stood over her shoulder and very RUDELY criticized her every move. Clicking her tongue, rolling her eyes, and dramatically apologized to us for it “taking so long” (it only took a couple minutes and we were completely fine with waiting). The poor young woman who was helping us originally was able to somehow keep a smile on her face throughout Heather’s intense and absurd behavior… I really admire her, because if anyone ever spoke to me the way HEATHER spoke to her, I would have dropped everything and left the room. A word for Heather… my boyfriend and I left saying we were embarrassed for you. You apologized for the process taking too long, but you should’ve apologized for your childish behavior. You need a lesson in how to treat people. ESPECIALLY people on your own team. Absolutely disgusting. ~chloe

As bad as the wait and inside of the office is, don’t try calling either. They don’t pickup the phone, you’ll just get put on hold, asked to stay on hold, then redirected three separate times. ~scarlet

Some aspects of banking are straight-forward and others are more challenging. I recently had one of the latter and River Bank really went above and beyond. They were friendly, educated me on the process, and were completely professional and thorough. We resolved this service-item to my complete satisfaction in record time.
