, Baker's is my go to hardware store when I need something and I need it quick. I know I can depend on Baker's to have it on their shelves. When I'm not sure about something I asked questions, there's an elderly gentleman and a young man both running the store and they are very helpful when I'm not quite sure about what I'm about to purchase or what I need to purchase to complete a job. I am a DYI and try to do as much of my own repairs as possible. Need a certain kind of nail, screw, four by four post you name it they have it. So don't run all over town especially if you're in the Hampton Cove Owens Cross Road New Hope Baker's is much closer and their prices are fair. ~Linda

This Lowe's is usually well stocked and easy to get to (but with a scenic drive over the mountain). There has always been ample parking and the layout is similar to other Lowe's stores in the area. The store has a great selection of flowers and plants at the appropriate times of the year. There is also a very good selection of top soil, landscaping items, fertilizer, mulch and garden tools. In other words, it is a prime shopping point for the Harry homeowners in Hampton Cove and surrounding areas. On our last landscaping project, which has now extended over three days, I have made four trips to Lowe's. Unfortunately, I had to go to a 2nd Lowe's as the landscaping bricks I was seeking were out of stock at this location. There is a good computer system for checking on availability and the location within the store for finding items. In this instance, there were reportedly 219 of the bricks I wanted in stock. When I got there, there were only two actually available. I checked availability at the Lowe's in SE Huntsville and there were about 1300 reportedly available. So I ended up going to that store for the these items. While spread apart, there are several Lowe's stores in the area. This particular Lowe's, in Owens Crossroads, Alabama was very busy on a Sunday morning with lines at all checkouts and also at the Customer Service desk. Their business model is obviously successful for a reason and they have tapped into a large market for their products and services. They make it relatively easy to find items for a project and in many instances they will arrange for installation of their products. So, the store may be crowded, there are times when popular products will be out of stock but the the selection is good, the open hours are long and getting in and out of the store is easy. ~RalphFLA

Employee by the name of Paula Rene was extremely and unnecessarily rude. Told her I had a phone number for rewards, she pretended to know nothing of it until another employee intervened. ~Tiff

Absolutely Love my young adult son's haircut. Was so impressed with the stylist, who even wore a mask (the only employee with one already on... kudo's to her)...this made an even bigger difference, as some of us have underlying health issues and are very vulnerable to covid, still even with 3 shots, and stilled masked in public places. The shop even had a 100 points health rating from Madison Co health dept. ~R

Always had great service with Cassie and others for my daughter. Appointment on Saturday was a disaster with Le Arther. My daughter asked for a fun updo for the prom. His updo was for an older women. He charged us $90! When we arrived home she shook her head barely and the entire style fell. Returned to take it down and Le Arthur insisted to just spray it in place. He was rude. I had him take it down. Her hair was dirty as he did want a wash before he styled and he wanted to work with her hair that was obviously needing a wash and she has oily hair. We had to use dry shampoo on her hair and restyle at home as there was no time to wash hair and style again. $90 at a high end shop… not by a stylist at Cuts by Us …they never charged us that much. We have paid that much for highlights , cut, and style. Super disappointed in the service of this stylist. FYI The ladies have always done a fabulous job in blowouts , style, and highlights.
