Best mexican restaurant in Tempe, Arizona (AZ) 2024

The combination fish and shrimp taco is really good as is the combination shrimp and Carne asada. Do yourself a favor and order the tacos "santa" style, which comes with a grilled layer of cheese on the tortillas. The salsa/topping bar is robust with multiple sauces, veggies, and other accoutrement including a very unique thin tartar sauce like sauce for the fish taco. Rice and beans is nothing legendary but the tacos plus the topping bar makes this place a must check out. Tacos are served plain as all needed additions are located in the topping bar. ~Matthew

TC Tacos is unafraid of flavor! I arrived a skeptic but left a believer. I'll echo others who suggest the Al Pastor and Carne Asada and give those salsas a try. ~Gabriel

Los Favoritos has good breakfast burritos. That is all I can judge them by food wise but I enjoyed my burrito. The price was very reasonable for the size and quality received. The cashier was nice, the service was speedy. Looking forward to seeing what else I can try as a vegetarian. ~Nikki

I was saying right next to this restaurant at a hotel and thought "what a quaint, cute" little place this was, it has a nice eat-in restaurant experience as well as an outside patio right across from the Phoenix light rail right below the RISE Apartments. The inside blew me away I love the decor and the thing that hit me first was just how clean this restaurant was! The manager's name was Jose he was super friendly and let me tell you the food is out of this world! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who's maybe not tired of the mill nightlife but just looking for something a little off the beaten path it's definitely worth it if you're ever in tempeazy make sure to check out this little place you'll love it!! It's right off of Apache and rural and I definitely will be back! ~Jaimee
