I had to reduce my rating due to a really bad experience I just had here.
I really did not want to leave this review, but my recent experience dealing with Future Hyundai was not the best, and no one from this dealership is returning my calls. This incident happened on September 29th, 2022.
I am currently dealing with an ANT INFESTATION after picking my car (2017 Santa Fe) back up from Future Hyundai as my car was left there for over two weeks to address a transmission problem. I was seriously given back my car with ants all over the cabin and under the hood. I suspect there could be a colony of ants somewhere inside because they don't seem to be going away even after paying to have the car fully cleaned.
I am using some ant bait stuff and my hope is that will finally resolve the issue. I left calls to the service advisor and even the manager, and no call backs, not even a simple apology. Customer service seems to have just gone downhill in general after Covid.
It took almost two weeks for them to approve the claim and get a loaner vehicle, so I was without a car that entire time, but they did come through on that after multiple follow ups. The car is working great now, but there was a lack of communication when I was dealing with the transmission issue. I chalked this up to them maybe being too busy, but the lack of communication on the ant issue is really unacceptable for any business. I really don't want to bring the car back for this, but it would have been nice to get a call back or something.
I am not sure if the mechanic servicing my vehicle dropped a soda or some pastry somewhere in the engine area, but I have no idea how ants could have infested my vehicle while there.
I was even assigned a case manager from Hyundai for the original transmission issue and he hasn't even responded or called back regarding the ant issue. The lack of communication all around has been extremely frustrating.
I'll consider writing a letter and maybe escalating this some other way, but just exercise caution with this service department as my experience was not ideal. ~Nando
